We just decided we need one in the bathroom for our nighttime pills, so I'm coming back to buy a second one. I was really hoping to get a pink and gray one, or at least a different color. It looks like the other colors only come in the XL size, and the "active" is the perfect size for us. Having different colored sets would make it easier to keep them separate when we fill them. Check the bundles before you buy: you might find a better deal there than buying it alone. Why we like it: It's easy to fill. You can stage the pills on top of the containers or push them in as you go, your choice. They're easy to open. They're a pretty good size: you can fit at least 5 pills in each compartment, even if some of the pills are larger. Being clear is very helpful! It's easy to check if you've taken your pills that day, and it makes it easier during fill time too. You can verify that you have each pill type in each day. It's really great to be able to pick up an individual day and carry it with you around the house, in your gym bag or suitcase, etc. You just have to remember to put it back. They are pretty durable. While we don't often put them in a suitcase or gym bag, I wouldn't worry about it if we did. If we did travel with them a lot, I'd probably get the accessory bag to put three of them in. The magnet is helpful. It makes it easy to carry the whole thing around the house without worrying about dropping any of them. And it's still easy to lift them off, the magnet's the right strength. Neutral things to know: For larger pills, I prefer to open the container rather than pushing them in, just to avoid making the silicone go inwards. This is personal preference that I started mostly because I initially tried to keep gummies in it. It's probably not really necessary. I don't recommend keeping gummies in it. They don't stay fresh enough. In fairness, I never tried it in another pill container, so I'm not sure the average pillbox would be better at it. We keep our gummies for the week in little snap down tupperwares now for freshness. This happened one too many times and I was DONE. I ignored the price and purchased two of these things and I’m happy. I have a couple suggestions but none so serious that I wouldn’t purchase again unless something better came along. I wish the magnets were stronger. I wish they were strong enough that I’d have to work much harder to remove the individual containers. Also, I wish the containers were made of a more durable plastic. I dropped one and it now has a crack that you can see but not feel. It doesn’t affect the function at all. Lastly, I wish the rounded portion of the container was sloped to make removing an individual pill easier to accomplish. On the plus side I like the soft tops and, even though I didn’t think I’d care, I like the slit in the top that allows pills to be pushed through. I like the style in that I can easily take however many days I need with me when I go somewhere rather than the entire tray. I like the size. Even if I were to dose myself 4 fish oil capsules, they could easily fit along with the various other meds/vitamins. There is a larger size available but I can’t imagine ever needing it. I’ve wasted so much money buying and replacing other pill containers that I could have easily paid for a couple of these.
