I sit at a computer desk for the better part of a day, 12+hrs, and I find myself slouching constantly. The backboard helps keep my posture top of mind because it cushions my lower back and mid back, forcing me to sit up straight. I have tried putting a pillow behind me, cushions on my lower back, inclining my chair as far up as I can and still I find myself slouching and my back hurting.A lot of the contraptions I have tried over the years were awkward not only to sit on or against, but to look at. People walk by my desk and ask what that purple thing is is all the time. Must be the color or that it looks comfortable.I had, note the had, back pain or lower back (Sciatica) for years. This, so far, has not cured it by any means but has greatly reduced the annoying pain. I don't fear sitting in a chair for a full days work now. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking to improve posture as well. I find myself sticking my chest out more as opposed to standing like a troll.Great product overall, will probably pickup another for the car and my wife ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Firm Back Support that Lasts *by J***Y on Reviewed in the United States on January 31, 2017* I’ve had a chronic lower back issue stemming from a bulging disc I suffered 20+ years ago. Over the years, I have tried several products that provide lumbar support while sitting at my desk and in the car to alleviate some of the lower back pain & stiffening. Most of the pillow, wire mesh, etc. supports I have tried work OK to provide support and relief, but they wear out or provide less support after a few months of regular use. When a friend of mine recommended trying the Backboard product, I expected it to work for awhile, but wear out after a few months of regular use. I put the product in my Jeep Wrangler this summer where it received an enormous amount of use & abuse with my repeated in/out, bouncing around off-road, etc. However, after ~6 months of regular use in my Jeep (see photo), this thing is still providing the same level of support it did when I first purchased it - awesome!The board is also customizable to the level of curve/support you want to give your back. Some products I’ve used in the past impose too much curve to the back support and ended up hurting my back more than helping it.
