Jean-Michel Basquiat

It is such a shame to me that people with talent like Basquiat, seem to waste it away on drugs or the like. I learned about Basquiat in college and fell in love with his work. Even though it can be crazy and wild, I find something so personal about it. his book does a great job delving into the life of Basquiat... what made him, him. It also has great catalogs of his work. It really is a beautiful book and I highly recommend it to anyone who like Basquiat. I am curious about the road he would have gone down, if he had not died so young. Another good example of why you shouldn't do drugs... his amazing talent for painting and story telling, now gone forever. So sad.

I love art! This book adds life to my coffee table and living room.

I bought this because I am a fan of his work and love the vibrant colors. I also need something visual in my foyer to add to my art gallery/hotel lobby vibe foyer and add color this was perfect.

Definitely one of the definitive books for having a general good look inside Basquat's Art and humanity... The price is very low for having such a big Art catalogue like this!, I was quite surprised by the size, the resolution of colours, and the written inserts, for such a cheap price, I truly reccomend this item even to the ones who already have an Art Catalogue of this great and young maudit...

Great book

Happy with the book overall and the quality of the pages and the prints on those pages. I just wish the binding were stronger… I’d be concerned about heavy usage impacting longevity on mine.

Pourquoi : je connais bien les œuvres de Basquiat mais aucun livre . En fait je l ai acheté car j ai 2 petits enfants de 4 ans et ils commençaient a entrer dans la spirale la maison la cheminée le soleil ( vous me comprenez ) ... Et maintenant on colle la maison le chien le soleil on redessine par dessus on gribouille ... En fait on se lâche On a moins de limites On imagine+++ et c'est beau parce qu on crée .
