But functionally they are much better:- They are very lightweight, and they are leakproof, just as they say- The lids stack together and the bottoms stack together, taking up very little space when they're empty- When they're full, the bottom of one stacks perfectly on top of the closed lid of the next container, so it's easy to keep them upright in transit.- I love the flat rectangular shape because it means I can have all of them full in the fridge in stacks, and I can still find space for them and everything else in the fridge, much more easily than I could with my taller, mismatched tupperware containers.I did notice that they don't open that easily, but it's not a feat of great strength or anything. And it's worth it if that's what it takes for them to be leak proof when they are shut.So far I've only tested the microwave safe claim, not the dishwasher or freezer safe claims--but I will find out soon enough, and I'll update if the containers don't do well in either situation.Update: I've had these for a long time now and they've been through many dishwasher cycles; they are solid. In terms of wear and tear, the tabs in the corners of the lids do break off sometimes. As long as it's not all 4 tabs on one container (which hasn't happened yet), it doesn't affect their functionality. ### ⭐ Poor quality, extremely brittle *by D***L on July 7, 2017* Received the containers with cracked and chipped lids and bottoms.
