do handles close onto lens when folded?

The tips are metal and fold to the inside of the glasses and if you carry them in a bag or pocket it scratches the inside of the lens. After one week of using these there are noticeable scratches. I wish they had a softer tip.

are these lenses very dark?

They are not so dark that your sight is hindered. I wear them for driving and find them to be perfect.

It is lightweight which makes it comfortable, but does not seem fragile.

Do these have spring hinges?

Do you mean the joint between the lens snd the arm? If so, then yes, they do.
