Review: Unusable. A pure waste of money - I was looking for a straw that isn't plastic or paper. Pictures and description were ideal for what I was looking for. In fact, what I received has nothing to do with what was described. The "straw" looks like hay, at the look, at the touch, but also as it is so fragile. It breaks very easily and most of them ARE already broken, hence, unusable. They may probably be environment friendly, but you can't even use them as straws. They would probably be helpful if you have rabbits. Very, very disappointing. Do not waste your money for these hay sticks.

**Q: In which country are these produced?**
A: They are biodegradable to save tge environment. They won't end up in landfills or the oceans. They save sea turtles and other animals.  Who cares where they are made. Pick your battles.

**Q: is it strong?**
A: They will break if someone wants to. But they hold up well in a drink. My kids haven't totally ruined one to the point they need another yet. They don't fold like the grass straws I have seen recently.

**Q: Are these at home compostable?**
A: I've been trying a few, but don't have a definitive result yet.  no reason they shouldn't be, though.

I was looking for a straw that isn't plastic or paper. Pictures and description were ideal for what I was looking for. In fact, what I received has nothing to do with what was described. The "straw" looks like hay, at the look, at the touch, but also as it is so fragile. It breaks very easily and most of them ARE already broken, hence, unusable. They may probably be environment friendly, but you can't even use them as straws. They would probably be helpful if you have rabbits. Very, very disappointing. Do not waste your money for these hay sticks.
