Rubber is good, soft, double tapes are enough to cover all of the rubber. Stick well on my car's bumper for 2 weeks, so far so good.

Easy to Apply and Works as We Needed
We bought this to apply to the top of the bumper of our new car to protect it from the dog's toenails as he jumps in and out of the car. We cleaned the area and peeled back the tape on the protector strip and it stuck REALLY well to the bumper. It is relatively thick, but curves to match the contours of the bumper and looks great to boot.
