The iron board is sturdy and robust. The operation of opening and shutting is smooth and well thought out. The rubber feet stop the board from moving around whilst ironing. And when folded if is easily stowed in a small cupboard or small enough to stand in a corner. It is not cumbersome. It folds down to a compact size.
