Black cats, pointed hats, and magic brooms, too! Favorable Fortunes for Curious Witches A fun, practical, easy-to-use tarot kit for every witch. Charming images pair with simple explanations to make this the go-to deck for anyone seeking to learn or practice the tarot. Based on the classic Rider-Waite deck but updated for the busy modern witch, this tarot has a whimsical air while still being dedicated to the serious job of providing answers to life's tough questions. Author Deborah Blake brings her friendly, approachable style to a tarot experience that's focused on the positive. Includes a deck with brilliant art and a full-color guidebook. Review: Wonderful Illustrations & Equally Wonderful Color Illustrated Guidbook - Mrs. Bayhylle here the wifey. A positive upbeat take on traditional tarot. Wonderful borderless illustrations with almost jewel-esque type color tones. The inspiration or concept is based off old time-y Halloween postcard illustrations. Who doesn’t like vintage Halloween? It’s foundation is the Rider-Waite Tarot system. The guidebook is fantastic and details each card rather well and after each card description along with full color illustrations of each card is a place for notes. The author takes care in describing each card meaning in a positive & constructive manner. A great deck for both seasoned & beginner readers. The pictures are not overly complicated and is also great for intuitive reading or those wanting to begin reading intuitively. Plus the images are just plain fun to look at. On the one negative point the cards are quite thin and very slippery but overall, Yes I recommend this deck & guidebook set. Included pictures with an average size tarot bag for size comparison. Review: Seeing The Tarot All Over Again - I'm fascinated by tarot. Some years ago, I had quite a few decks..loved each and every one, but gave them away. At that time, I felt I was done with tarot forever. Recent past and now to recent present, I'm growing a new collection! It seems tarot is not done with me.. and I'm glad of it! However, I found the old issues I had with tarot were the same as before: what are the Cards telling me and why am I still confused? Why can't there be a deck that tells you directly what's going on, without bogging one down with arcane symbolism/ meanings? At times, despite gorgeous and lovely artwork, I threw my hands up in the air! Will I ever "get" it? Then, came along Deborah Blake's, Everyday Witch tarot! I was caught by the simple and direct artwork and meanings. I loved the whimsical images. At first, though, I turned my nose up at this modern deck, because I tend toward things that represent bygone times, eras. However! I realized that perhaps..having a tarot "set" in a modern context, could, perhaps, open understandings and unlock previous confusions on my part? Yes? I am happy to nod affirmatively! Ta-dah!!! I love everything about this tarot: the colorful and lively drawings, not staid; the sturdy box the deck came in-- and with magnetic closure, , the pretty blue ribbon, ( blue is my favorite color), the accompanying book..clear explanations with questions for reflection, on and on, I could praise! I, personally, haven't any complaints about the card stock..yes, it does seem to be thinner than other decks, but c'est la vie! I'm after information, learning and understanding..(even with momentary confusions).. and that's okay. There is one card image I'd like to comment on : The Moon. When I first saw it, here on desertcart, I had to laugh. Here's a cat looking at its own reflection in the pool..lost in its own reflections..or illusions. Meanwhile, a witch happens to be flying across the face of the moon..and-- at the time-- of my seeing this image, I found myself giggling..because the witch seemed to be doing the same: laughing ( or cackling) at our silliness! She seemed to be telling me: "don't take yourself or everything you see, so seriously! Go ahead and fool yourself if you want, as long as you remember, it's mostly smoke and mirrors! Ha, ha, ha!" Of course, The Moon is so much more than this, as is the tarot, so much more. Overall, I'd give this deck 100 + stars, if I could. Yippee!!!

Did I Need Another Witch-Themed Tarot Deck? No…Did I Need To Buy the EWT Deck? Yes, Yes I Did!
Just when I thought I didn’t need another witch or pagan-themed divination deck, I start seeing author Deborah Blake’s stunning Everyday Witch Tarot everywhere I look. I am glad I did. What a fantastic deck. And not just because it has a lot of cats in it either, though that is a great selling point for me. So let’s get down to it. The box is big and sturdy enough to hold the 252-page, color-illustrated book and the cards). The cards are the perfect size for shuffling (or ruffling). They seem thin, so I wonder how they will hold up to heavy usage. But the cards are borderless (art from top to bottom) which I love. The deck is Rider-Waite inspired. The artwork (by Elisabeth Alba, who seems to have a background illustrating children’s books) is what drew me in immediately. The images are both whimsical and deep at the same time. My only caveat would be that I wish it was a little more culturally and socially representative as witches come from all corners of the world and all walks of life. I love the book, Deborah Blake does not interpret the cards in reversed positions, but her interpretations are richly developed. She provides a card overview, things to consider, sassy, yet serious quotes under the picture of each card, and a line or two describing the underlying card theme at the beginning of card interpretations. I love her style. She doesn’t just provide lists of keywords or phrases, she really tells the story behind each card. I believe this is more helpful to new Tarot practitioners who often feel like they have to memorize a bunch of keywords rather than letting the images guide their intuition. It was hard for me to decide which cards to highlight as so many spoke to me. Out of the Majors, I chose: the Lovers card. Just look at all the harmony and balance displayed in this image, even the cats’ shadows reflect this. And the fire seems to blends these energies, revealing “the power of love”. The Minor Arcana’s Aces all represent their elemental associations well. The 3 of Swords card shows heartache, yet the journal on the bed indicates trying to come to terms with the pain and hopefully learn something from it. The 2 of Pentacles truly shows what a balancing act life can be at times. The 10 of Cups card emphasizes what’s really important in life…the people (and animals) we love. The 7 of Wands depicts a Witch and her cat in a defensive stand, even when, as Deborah Blake explains, that may no longer be necessary. So if you are a Witch, or just an avid Tarot reader, or collector, I recommend adding this deck to your collection, and using them. I dove in immediately and haven’t come up for air since!

witchy kitsch at its finest
There is so much I love about this deck that I almost don’t know where to begin. Let’s start with the kit. For years, Llewellyn has produced beautiful decks in flimsy boxes that don’t protect the cards. Not anymore. This deck came in a beautiful set with a sturdier box with a magnetic closure that unfolds across the front. Inside is a blue ribbon you pull to remove the book and, under it, the cards. Do I still wish the deck itself had a smaller, fitted box like literally every other brand of tarot deck? Sure. But the box for this set was an impressive improvement over the boxes I’ve bought from Llewellyn for years. The book itself is in full color on glossy paper. Each card is reproduced full size next to the text about it. I love this so much! This has to be the most beautiful companion book for any deck I own. I only wish my older decks came with books like this. The writing itself is lovely. I’ve been a Deborah Blake fan for years, which is how this deck originally got on my radar. A lot of times when you’ve been buying tarot decks for years you don’t bother much with the book. This book is worth reading. Each card has a concise statement, for the Six of Swords it’s, “Anyplace but here.” Then on the next page it has a short meaning, “Sometimes you just have to get gone. Try not to take your troubles with you.” You could probably get a good enough sense of the card with just that, but she goes on to describe the card: “This witch isn’t going to spend one more minute where she is. She’s already on her way, with only a few necessities, because time is of the essence and sometimes it is better to get out with nothing than to hang on to things or people that are weighing you down. But she’s not travelling alone. It isn’t clear if she is helping her traveling companions or if they are helping her, but either way, they are in this together. An acrcane gesture to summon the wind and they’re off into an unknown future. All she knows is that anyplace will be better than whatever it is she’s leaving behind.” followed by a “Things to Consider” definition: “Sometimes there are situations you simply can’t fix: unhealthy relationships, jobs that beat you down, dangerous or unproductive circumstances. If you’re dealing with one of these, you have to ask yourself if it is time to cut your losses and just get out. And there is no shame in asking for help to do so, if you need to, or maybe someone else needs your help to escape their own bad situation. It’s okay to lend a hand, as long as you are sure you’re not going to end up carrying burdens that don’t belong to you.” I don’t know about you, but this is much more helpful than the tarot books I learned with, which ranged from big long detailed explanations for each card that went on for twenty pages or more each to books which described each card in a thesaurus of random words in the hopes that one of them would spark something. This book tells you something concrete about what each card might actually mean to you in a reading. The cards themselves are styled after kitschy retro witch postcards, so if that’s not your thing you probably won’t care for all the pointy hats and black cats. Witchy kitsch is one of my favorite things, so needless to say I love the illustrations. This is a bright cheerful deck with an upbeat outlook. In the Tower, for example, the proactive witch has burned this down on her own; she’s no victim of things falling apart but a player in destroying what wasn’t working to create what she wants in its place. If there’s one thing I wish were different about the deck, it’s the cardstock. These are fairly thin and it took some getting used to shuffling them without sending them flying across the room. In short, I love this deck. It’s a new favorite and I look forward to using it again and again for readings of all kinds.

Everyday Witch Tarot: A Modern and Magical Tarot Deck for All
I recently acquired the "Everyday Witch Tarot" deck, and I must say, it's been an enchanting addition to my tarot collection. First and foremost, the artwork is absolutely captivating. The whimsical and modern witch theme gives the cards a unique personality that stands out from traditional tarot decks. The colors are vibrant, and the illustrations are rich in detail, making it a joy to connect with the cards. The deck is designed with a beginner-friendly approach, which is great for someone like me who's relatively new to tarot reading. Each card has clear, concise symbolism, and the guidebook that comes with it is incredibly helpful. It not only explains the meanings of each card but also provides practical insights and suggestions for interpretation. One of the standout features for me is the relatability of the deck. The "Everyday Witch Tarot" incorporates everyday scenarios and experiences, making it easy to connect with on a personal level. Whether it's dealing with work, relationships, or daily challenges, the cards offer guidance that feels relevant to modern life. The cardstock quality is excellent, and the cards shuffle smoothly without feeling flimsy. This is a durable deck that will likely withstand regular use for a long time. Overall, the "Everyday Witch Tarot" deck is a delightful and user-friendly choice for both beginners and experienced tarot enthusiasts. Its captivating artwork, relatable themes, and clear symbolism make it a valuable tool for introspection and guidance. I've thoroughly enjoyed using this deck, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking to explore tarot or add a fresh perspective to their readings.

A modern twist on past decks ...
This item arrived next day, securely packed and discreetly packed, undamaged, and as described. Much better that I had imagined, this tarot deck and book is a modern twist on the decks of the past. As an Empathic clairvoyant ,I have always read cards intuitively. Personally I feel that every card holds a specific meaning for each individual, and were never meant to be a one size fits all. I began my journey in my teens using the Rider Waite deck followed by the Balbi , and countless others. Although the aforementioned have heavier vibe, I still enjoy using them. However I personally find this set to be more lighthearted and perfect for beginners looking to explore their budding spirituality. Enclosed with everything needed, including an easy to follow manual for pros and novices respectively. Both manual and cards are beautifully illustrated, containing whimsical images that are a breath of fresh air, providing a modern prospective on this scared ancient practice. Concurrently everything arrives securely nestled in a protective case that stores both book and cards neatly. As an Amazon Vine reviewer this item has easily earned my full recommendation and approval. In my humble opinion this set will not disappoint, and will undoubtedly put a smile on the face of the fortunate recipient. I offer many blessings and positive vibes to everyone, wherever they might be on their journey of enlightenment.

I love everything about this set ✨❤️
This deck and the light seer’s tarot are my two favorite tarot decks EVER... no other tarot decks even come close for me. (They are both #1 as far as I’m concerned!) I felt instantly connected and bonded to these cards and they are always my favorite to use, and I use them daily. The artwork in this deck really speaks to me and immediately drew me in. It’s charming and whimsical but also extremely profound and beautiful. Does not feel even the slightest bit dark.. it’s a very warm, calm energy (both the artwork and the guidebook). The cards are glossy and really easy to shuffle/handle. The guidebook is super nice.. and it’s a full size book! Vibrant colors, full page-illustrations, glossy pages.. wow. I was sooo thrilled by this. It’s pretty rare to have such a nice guidebook along with a deck of tarot or oracle cards. It’s very well-written and would not be overwhelming for a beginner. :) I’d recommend for a seasoned reader or a newbie. The readings I get from this deck are nothing short of amazing... Strikingly accurate and always exactly what I need to hear/know. I really love the overall lighthearted, warm, loving energy that these cards possess. Feels like getting advice/wisdom from an old friend. ❤️ Highly highly recommend! You won’t regret buying these, it’s an absolutely phenomenal experience. I’m probably going to get an extra set because I adore these so much!!! I would be terribly devastated if it went out of print.

Love cats? Love quirky, wholesome, warm-hearted Tarot decks? Get this deck!
Oh my goodness. I didn't realize I'd get such a super-high-quality deck when I bought this deck. The art is charming and professional, the cards are easy to read. The card stock is heavy but not too heavy to shuffle, the attending book is printed in full color and has pages for adding your notes, and the box is lovely, well-designed, and sturdy. This deck has moved into my top five favorite decks ever. No deck can be everything for everyone. This deck is nearly perfect for me. My one wish is that the artist had made the cards more diverse and inclusive--at least more persons of color. I recently asked in the Tarot Nerds FB forum for recommendations for decks that are multicultural; inclusive and diverse; show all genders, ages, body types; and include ability representation. Oh, and with lovely, precise art and readable fonts. Nobody could name even one deck that met those criteria, though they named many that meet some of the criteria. The easiest criteria to find met in a Tarot deck is diversity and inclusiveness in terms of color and gender. I see an opportunity for someone to design a more broadly inclusive deck! In addition to this deck, which is one of my new favorites, my other favorite decks that you can get on Amazon: Star Tarot, Tarot of Dragons (which I just bought for my daughter), Wildwood Tarot, and Mystical Cats. Other decks you can get on Amazon: Robin Wood (careful: NSFW) and Light Seers (Light Seers is inclusive and diverse). Indie decks that I love: Dark Mansion, Alice (from Baba Yaga Studios), Winter Waite (SO cute!), and Robert Place's Alchemical Tarot.

Great for beginners
I was very drawn to this deck and happy to receive the beautiful box with book and cards. At first I was a bit disappointed with the quality of the cards. The very first time I shuffled the deck I damaged a card. I might be clumsy, but still, you should be able to shuffle without bending and making creases in the cards so easily. But after using them I'm actually very happy, they're light and the artwork is beautiful. It takes me back to childhood and picture books. The guide book is great for beginners like me.

Very pleased with my "used as new" item
Felt the brand new product was a bit pricey and went with the "used - as new" option that was available. All the cards are there and the guidebook is in perfect condition. Only the inside of the box shows a bit a use. Comes in a big "gift set" type box, which I was not expecting, so it's considerably bigger than I was expecting. The cards themselves are standard size. They are gorgeous! I decided to get them after I had a reading done and the person was using this deck. The artwork is superb and very communicative. The guidebook is big and really well done; it reads a bit like a story. Love it!

Beautiful deck and easy to use
Beautiful deck of cards - I LOVE the illustrations! They give you a real fairytale feel. Great book as well - definitely comes in handy as the interpretations are really well written. Beginners will benefit greatly. I don't agree with those who say the cards are paper thin and can't be shuffled. They are no thinner than my previous tarot deck. If you are used to oracle cards, however, they may feel thin. Good quality, though!

Carte molto belle e resistenti
