No pool cleaner is perfect but...
After reading literally hundreds of reviews, I purchased a cordless pool cleaner - it got 35 five star reviews on Amazon and none less than that! I was impressed. I turned off the pump so it wouldn't get stuck on the (raised) drain. It got stuck. It got stuck on the stairs as well. In both cases, it got free after some effort. The problem with these cordless cleaners is that they are power limited because of the battery and freeing itself gobbles up energy. The cleaner also struggled to get up the walls. Plan B was to purchase the Dolphin Nautilus CC Plus with WiFi, based on the reviews. In choosing a cleaner I considered the size and shape of my pool because it became clear to me from the reviews that one size doesn't fit all, i.e., a great cleaner for one pool might be terrible for another. I have a lap pool that measures 45 x 7.5 feet, is about four feet deep throughout, and has stairs on one end. I have used the Nautilus CC Plus three times. My pool doesn't get a lot of leaves or debris so I don't need a large basket. The provided baskets are more than ample. My biggest problem is the junk that collects at the waterline so I had hopes that this robot would be helpful. The Frequently Asked Questions, included in the documentations, answered the question, "Does my Dolphin clean the waterline? Answer: The cleaner is designed to climb the walls, but does not reach the waterline". See attached video. This does exactly what I need it to do. Obviously, they need to hire a better marketing person. This robot does not get stuck over the raised drain with the pump running and drawing water from the pool. It climbs the steps (seems to love them) but will occasionally get stuck on a step or in a corner, but it releases itself, and because this is tethered you don't have to worry about draining a battery. It also has considerable power and thrust for climbing the walls and stairs due to it drawing current from the power supply. My only concern is the wear and tear on the paddles/fins, whatever, when it gets stuck as sometimes they keep spinning against my PebbleSheen surface before releasing. Time will tell. I have not been able to pair it with either my iPhone or iPad but I have contacted the company in hopes that they can solve the problem. If not, this is not a game changer for me. Finally, just put it in the water and walk away. I found myself getting stressed and yelling at it, "Why are you attacking the stairs? You haven't touched the other end of the pool? Why do you keep going over the same area?" I thought that this was supposed to be smart and map out the pool but it didn't appear to be doing anything intelligent. I finally went away and when I came back it had covered the whole pool and picked up everything. The robot does not have a memory so every cleaning is a new experience, like a goldfish doing a swim around the fishbowl and forgetting the last pass. Cleaning the filters is a breeze. See the photo of the debris that it picked up on its first use. You can spend a lot more for a pool robot but at this price I highly recommend this cleaner. Update: I have now had this robot for a while and am still very happy with it. The customer service has been excellent. After a few emails back and forth about the WiFi not working they decided to send a new power supply. That fixed the problem. With the Dolphin app on your phone you can turn the robot on and off and schedule it to clean every day or two other options. Unfortunately, you cannot control the robot. This would be useful as it did get stuck a couple of times, and rather than wait for it to free itself (it was taking a long time on the raised drain or step) I decided to free it manually. Perhaps in the future they might add more capability to the app so you could get the robot free without having to intervene manually. I would love to be able to tell it to reverse when it headed to my steps. In conclusion, I stand by my recommendation about the efficacy of the robot and now can add that they have great customer service. Update 7/24/24. The customer service person suggested that I moved the floats closer to the robot, which might alleviate the robot getting stuck on the stairs. I moved the closest one and this seems to have helped. I just purchased pleated filters, which are for finer debris and not included when you buy the robot. I was skeptical but I thought that I would try them. I first cleaned the pool with the filters that are supplied. Immediately afterwards I put the pleated filters in for another cleaning cycle. They picked up really fine material that the standard filter missed. When I rinsed the pleated filter it looked like mud was coming out of them. So these really work. I would not recommend using them without using the coarser filters first because some large particles get stuck in the pleats and not all of them will rinse out easily with a hose so you have to manually separate the pleat to get them out. That being said, there were only a few of these particles so it was no big deal. The robot continues to work very well. I always remove it from the pool when done as I've read that the robot and cable will deteriorate faster if you leave it in the water, however that's for a very long period of time so it's up to you if you want to leave it in the pool and have it come on a particular schedule. Update: June 5, 2025. There was a lot of debris in the pool when it was opened this season. The CC Plus did a great job but keep in mind that if there is a lot of debris you need to empty it more often, i.e., don't let it run the full two hours. After several cleaning cycles I was able to run it the full time. One thing that is aggravating is recoiling the hose. It has a mind of its own. If you start to coil it clockwise it's OK for one or two coils but then it decides it doesn't want to go in that direction anymore. Grrrrr. If anyone has any suggestions I would appreciate it.

Buy 3 so you can have a reliable pool cleaning! Or look elsewhere to another manufacturer!
Where do I begin? I bought this from Amazon back in 2023. It worked perfectly until it stopped climbing the walls of the pool. Before I sent it out to Maytronic's authorized repaid center, under warranty to fix, I bought a back up. That was on March 23, 2025. 11 months after the first purchase. Upon receiving the new one, I sent the first one out for repair. It took 5 weeks to get it back! Has I not bought the second one as a "backup" my pool here in the Las Vegas summer heat would have been infested with algae! It took over 9 times to get the product to connect to the same wifi (2.4mhz) as the first one. Which was very frustrating. I placed it in the pool, and it worked fine an "climbed the pool walls" to do it's job as advertised. The first one was returned from repair and I noticed it looked the same as when I sent it. The guide wheels looked "used" as when I sent it. I casually dismissed the notion thinking it was "repaired" to its original working condition. Fast forward to September 18th. The back up (newest Dolphin) just stopped working. After 5 back and forth emails and phone calls, Maytronic finally agrees to issue a warrant RMA for repair. So, shipping cost for a second Maytronic dolphin was one me. Now I was out an extra $123.89 for TWO failed Doplhins plus the cost of over $1,845.00 for buying them. The back up only worked for less than 4 months in the pool! I place the original (repaired) Dolphin in the pool and the wifi hooked up immediately! BUT it would NOT climb the walls which was why it was sent in for repair! Unbelievable! Needless to say, it gets worse. The back up Dolphin gets sent again the their authorized facility and after the repair, and numerous calls to Maytronic's 3rd party call center in the Philippines, agrees to send a "prepaid" return label, the RMA and ship directly to Duluth Headquarters for repair. Meanwhile I have NO Dolphin in my pool and the algae grows. My back up plan failed miserably when I trusted their product! Now fast forward to October. I was promised another "prepaid label" to fix the wall climbing problem that wasn't fixed in the second repair!!! During this process (5 weeks now) Maytronics sends me an email. See below: Dear James Bxxxxxxxxxx, Thank you for contacting Maytronics Customer Care. I have confirmed that your Replacement Dolphin order has been shipped. Customer Care Team Turns out that this items is being sent to Duluth by A DIFFERENT customer not my return replacement! Unreal! Si, now I have a missing Dolphin, and email after the first warranty RMA was issued, asking my to prove the purchase receipt. Thankfully, Amazon order history was able to show "proof of purchase". So ask yourself, how did they loose the original receipt and approve a warranty (RMA issued) ? Just to recap as of today the Dolphin sent in TWICE for repair so it can clean the walls of my pool is still not working and I am waiting for the RMA< Prepaid Label! The missing Dolphin sent to Maytronics Duluth location is still missing!!! 3 unanswered emails with notice of purchase sent, I have heard ZERO from this company! Would I recommend this product? Sure if you buy 3 for continuous back ups you might be ok. Will update this saga as in develops. UN pleased customer for sure! $2,000 later and still NO working product in my pool! Not to mention the added $386.00 of additional algae liquids I had to buy to keep the pool from turning swamp green.

Never stops. Great robot!
The Dolphin Nautilus CC Plus has been a great addition to my pool maintenance routine. It does an excellent job cleaning the pool floor and walls, and I love being able to control and schedule cleanings through the Wi-Fi app. It saves me a lot of time and keeps the pool looking clean with very little effort on my part. Setup was simple, and the filter is easy to remove and clean. Overall, it's a reliable and effective pool vacuum that has exceeded my expectations.

Game-Changer for Heavy Debris Pools โ Excellent Product, Company and Customer Service
Game-Changer for Heavy Debris Pools โ Excellent Product, Outstanding Support Iโve had the Dolphin Nautilus CC Plus Wi-Fi Robotic Pool Cleaner for over a year and a half now, and itโs been an absolute game-changer. This unit is a total workhorseโand in my case, a lifesaver. I have a massive Jacaranda tree that drops what feels like millions of tiny leaves and sticks into my pool (which is not screened in), and this cleaner handles it all with ease. The small twigs that used to be nearly impossible to remove with a skimming net are now gone without lifting a finger. Itโs incredibly easy to use, and even convinced my pool contractorโwho once thought robotic cleaners were a gimmick. Now, after seeing mine in action, he recommends it to all his clients. I use it twice a day, and only recently (about two months ago) did I start having a couple of minor issues. One of the treads would occasionally pop off, usually on the steps, but it was easy to reattach and never a big deal. I also had a problem with the control boxโthe unit wouldnโt complete a full cleaning cycle. I contacted customer service and was genuinely impressed. They responded quickly, issued me an RGA number and a return shipping label. I covered shipping to them, and they covered the return. They estimated 1โ3 weeks for turnaround, but I had it back in just 5 days. Not only was the issue resolved, but the unit came back completely refurbished with new treads, a new hose, and a new power supplyโpossibly more, but thatโs what I noticed. Itโs now back at work and running better than ever. After 18+ months of consistent use, I can say this is not only a reliable and powerful cleaner, but itโs also backed by a company that truly stands behind its product. Friendly, responsive, and efficient service makes all the difference. Highly recommendโespecially if you deal with heavy debris. This cleaner is worth every penny.

Great cleaner, Wi-Fi not worth itโฆ
First off, the Nautilus does an excellent job of cleaning the pool. I really appreciate the fine filtration, picking up all sorts of fine dirt and silt that my old pool cleaner (Pentair Kreepy Krauly, with its own booster pump) never got. I also like how it vigorously brushes the sides of the pool โ there has been noticeably less algae growth since we started using it. I purchased a corded pool cleaner because I did not want to have to remove it every few days to have to recharge it. Looking forward to the day when these things can crawl out of the pool by themselves and plug themselves in to be recharged. Now for the stuff that I donโt like: Whereas my old cleaner stayed in the pool year round for the 10+ years of its life, when I asked customer service (because I could not find any of the following information online or in the owners manual) if it was OK to leave the Nautilus in the pool, I was told it was, but it would be best to remove it every few days and rinse it with fresh water. (Though I donโt know how that would help, as I toss it right back in the pool after cleaning out the cleanerโs filter). But I got the impression that this wasnโt a device that should be left in the pool 24/7 for the next few years. Also, if I had known how basic the app was, I would not have purchased the Wi-Fi edition of the cleaner and saved myself $150. All the app can do is turn it on and off, and set how often you want to clean - every one, two or three days. Thatโs it. Again, according to customer service, you cannot vary the cleaning cycle length, or vary the cleaning pattern. Without the app, you can still turn the device on and off and set how often you want it to clean using the power button on the external power supply. Speaking of the power supply box, I was also told that it should not be in direct sunlight as it could overheat, and even though it is splash resistant, it should not be left out in the rain. So Iโm going to have to build a little awning for the power supply box. This will also help hide the annoyingly bright power button light, which pulses on and off when the device is not on (which is most of the time). Again, according to customer service, no way to turn that light off, unless you unplug the whole thing. The pool cleaner initially got caught up on the stairs in the pool (which I unfortunately read is a common problem after I purchased it), but I worked around that by setting up the power cord in a way where it couldnโt reach the stairs. Unfortunately, it also doesnโt reach the foot or two on either side of the stairs, but I just do that manually. Finally, asking customer service about the instructions specifying that there not be any swimmers in the pool while the device is on, I asked if that was more of a concern with hair and fingers and toes getting caught in the device, or was it an electrocution issue. I was told โbothโ. Since we have already been swimming in the pool when the device was on Iโm glad we are still alive. Then again, if people were getting electrocuted by these things, I imagine we would be hearing about it in the media. All in all, if I had to do this over again, I would just buy the regular Nautilus without the Wi-Fi.

Disappointed โ Defective Unit & Poor Warranty Support
I need to start by stating I have had this unit for 17 days. Ordered on March 2nd, received on the 4th and used for the first time on the 5th. Fast forward an entire 11 days later (4 total clean cycles) and the unit fails to turn on for its 5th usage. Reviewed the manufactures troubleshooting procedures, but still no resolve. Proceeded to spend the next morning on the phone the manufactureโs customer support of which ended with them wanting to repair the unit. Iโm not one for writing reviews (although I appreciate those that take the time as I certainly read them), but Iโm compelled to do so today. The fact that the manufactureโs response to my issue was โwell you had one successful cleaning cycle so we will only repair itโ is appalling in my opinion. This isnโt the most expensive unit on the market, but also isnโt pennies on the dollar either. The fact that a manufacture doesnโt stand behind its products following a single usage and requires customers to jump through hoops as if it was a day at the circus tells me everything I need to know about their โwarrantyโ. To set the stage a little clearer, this is our 2nd Nautilus CC Plus. The first was without Wi-Fi and lasted just north of 3 years before the power supply stopped working. After replacing the power supply, we got one additional year out of the unit before it stopped working again. Replaced the blue cable but still didnโt restore the function. After 4 years and $270 invested in replacement parts I came to conclusion I had gotten all the life I was going to get out of our first unit. When the Nautilus CC Plus is operational, the unit works wonderful especially with the fine filters. Where I draw the line is when a manufacture doesnโt stand behind their product after less than a month of use. After 90 minutes of back and forth, Iโm waiting for a supervisor to approve a replacement. Iโll be sure to provide an update, but for all my pool owners out there may this serve as a warning. I take pride in my assets and although the pool was more for the wife and kids, I attempt to use the best products on the market to ensure its always ready for their leisure. I now question if Maytronics and their Dolphin should be part of that list of products. Update: The manufacture did offer to replace the unit all together vs. repairing it after two weeks of use, but their lack of communication was on full display again. They sent me a form to be shipped with the return product as well as the shipping address. I proceeded to USP that day to get the package returned, frustrated with the fact I was $114 out-of-pocket to ship it back, but they made it clear they would not ship the new unit until the current one was in their possession. Fast forward two days later, I receive another email from the manufacture including the same return form, shipping address and this time a prepaid FedEx label. After another frustrated email, they confirmed the error was on their end and the original email should have included the return label but their system failed to attach it. They then asked for my shipping number so they could track the unit to dock and then process the replacement. No offer to compensate for my additional out-of-pocket expenses for their error and although the package arrived on Friday the 21st before 10am, no additional communication has been provided regarding the status on my replacement.

Wifi not really much of an advantage for extra cost.
I bought this to replace a WYBOT C1 that failed twice in its first years. There may be good cordless cleaners out there, but the WYBOT C1 certainly isnโt one of them. I think there are fundamental problem with cordless cleaners: limited cleaning time and battery unreliability. After my terrible experience with the WYBOT C1 I decided to go corded, and the Nautilus is not insanely expensive and has a good track record. Installation was easy, but I did double check with ChatGPT that I was not incorrectly fixing the cord to the power unit. It looks like it shouldnโt fit, but it does if you line it up correctly. The app seems limitedโno walls-only or floor-only options. Basically itโs just on or off, with some scheduling if you leave the cleaner in the pool all the time. But I think thatโs a really bad idea anyway, so the WiFi version doesnโt seem to be a major advance on the regular one. So, itโs doing a good job of cleaning the pool for now in any case.

Dolphin Nautilus CC Plus: Great for 6 months, now stuck in repair loop after 2+ months
I purchased the Dolphin Nautilus CC Plus Wi-Fi Automatic Robotic Pool Vacuum Cleaner in June 2025 for my in-ground pool. For the first six months it was fantastic. I ran it weekly through November and it kept the pool sparkling clean with almost no effort. The wall-climbing scrubber brush, strong suction, and scheduled cleaning via the app made pool maintenance easy and enjoyable. Unfortunately, when I tried to start the unit again in February 2026 it would not power up properly. I contacted Dolphin support and was simply told to ship the robot in for repair โ no troubleshooting steps were offered. I paid $163 out of pocket to send it to the authorized service center. After two weeks they returned it. The vacuum now runs, but the Bluetooth and Wi-Fi features are completely non-functional. I am stuck using the old physical control box and can no longer schedule cleanings, which was one of the main reasons I bought this model. I reached out to support again about the connectivity issue. For over two months now I have been sent through the same diagnostic steps repeatedly with no resolution. They will not allow a phone call and are now asking me to ship the unit back a second time โ again at my expense โ so they can โlook at it again.โ The robot performed very well when it worked, but the repeated repairs, shipping costs, and lack of meaningful customer support have been extremely disappointing for a premium product. I was expecting far better service after spending this much money. I really hope the Dolphin team sees this and helps us reach a fair resolution so I can once again have a reliable pool cleaner I can recommend.

Hard working cleaner
It really cleans well and has a good reach too. Able to navigate our odd shaped pool and even cleans the sides though it is quite random in how it goes about cleaning. Itโs easy to wash the filters and operate the machine. Highly recommended.

The CC plus DOES climb the walls
I picked this up when our polaris pool cleaner died. That cleaner was perfect for 4 seasons until it failed...not good enough for an expensive device. I thought I would try this one...the CC plus... and it was on sale so that was a bonus. The first time I put it in the water I did not correctly close one of the filter baskets and the propeller was getting jammed with leaves and it obviously did not clean the pool. After I fixed it and cleared the propeller I tried again and it worked extremely well! Other reviewers have said it does not climb walls. In fact it does. It also will move horizontally across the wall and clean the scum from the waterline. The cord does not seem to tangle after 5 cleanings (the polaris was annoying for that and always turned the same way). We have a large (41x25) irregular pool in the forest surrounded by trees and the pool needs a vacuum just about every day or two at the least. The 30 month warranty is better than competition...I am hoping for 8 years+.

Poor quality for price
Bought in 2023, lasted 1.5 seasons then just broke. Always stored in safe dry place in winter and when I tried to use it this season, it just wouldn't move. Not going to bother contacting them based on others experience. It seems the bearings that help move the track use cheap plastic to house them. Designed to break. Will never buy another dolphin product.

1 month review. Better than expected.
Had a polaris 955 for 4 years and the motor died. Opted to buy something else and went with this model. Says it does do water line but it does, just not everywhere. Cleans nicely and seems better and faster than the polaris. Thought I'd miss not having the caddy but it not an issue. The app is fine. Installed and set up without an issue. I have a mesh network at home. The app is pretty basic but meets my needs. I don't know why there's an option to schedule this or any others when they recommend not leaving it in the pool. Pretty sure that's what caused my last one to fail. I store I when not in use. Filters are east to clean. Only thing and it's minor, the polaris seemed to empty water quicker when removing. But am extra 30 seconds is fine. I don't miss the remote, nor steering ability either. Have a 34x16 free-form inground. Will follow up at the end of the season.

Should have bought this sooner!!
Loved the Dolphin and bought and use the wifi connection. We have a 12 foot deepend pool and 4 ft shallow - 40 feet long, 20 feet wide. It worked amazingly! Pool is spotless. It does take a bit for the Dolphin to do the entire pool. The wall cleaning is really cool with absolutely no problems in climbing. Stairs are ok...sometimes forgets to to the top stair but that's ok. It is pricey but well worth it. Saves a lot of time vacuuming and our pool sparkles.
