Time to replace and what a difference new makes. The new set is simple, easy to use, display lights up nicely, sound quality is good, saves messages, battery life seems to be excellent. If it lasts as long as the previous set, that works out to be about .45 cents a month. Not bad!

**Q: Can the answering machine be set to answer only with outgoing message but not accept or allow the caller to leave a message?**
A: Hi! Yes, you can set the answering machine to ''greeting only'', without asking the caller or allowing them to leave a message for you.

**Q: does it have a voice mail feature?**
A: yes it does and it also seems to answer anothe voivemail that i must pay for on my comcast/xfinity account. i love this phone. evil robocalls have diminished substantially. and answering in my bedroom is the bomb. nota bene you have to have your glasses on and look at the phone to do the call block thing.

**Q: does the ringer have a volume control ?**
A: Ringer volume has five levels. At the bottom right of the screen, menu shows up. The key directly below that is pressed first, followed by the # key, then 160. The arrowed key is then pressed up or down based on your volume choice. Press the button below save. Ringer volume set.

**Q: Does this set use lithium ion batteries or does this still use nimh?**
A: Hi. It will be Ni-MH for the batteries.

I love the Panasonic brand! I usually try to purchase things from Panasonic! I was a little nervous about this but everything worked out perfectly! It had all the features I wanted! The speakerphone sounds clear and is super easy to use! I like the fact that I don't have to hear the ringer! The only thing that was a little tricky is programming it so the ringer not only isn't heard on the handset, but on the base so the base doesn't ring either. You have to do that separately, I learned that the hard way when I was woken up! Arghhh...Lol! Once that was done, everything else about the phone was super easy and smooth! I definitely recommend this phone! It is beautiful,well made, lightweight and actually kind of looks a glamorous!
