14-Cup Rice Cooker

I've used it several times now and it works great. Warming option available. Large size to make plenty of rice for a family of at least 4-6. Easy clean up. There's no off button so unplugging is the only option you have to completely turn off. Great product. No Regrets. Great investment, great buy.

Have used several times, clean up is easy. Cooking is very easy... the steam basket is great for vegetables. We use our rice cooker at least 4 times per week. I add the ingredients ( rice, seasonings, water or broth, veggies) in less than 5 minutes in the morning and my food cooks while I am getting ready for work, the lever switches itself to warm temp when the food is done ... all I have to do is scoop into container and I have a fresh hot lunch. This rice cooker also makes great oatmeal, grits, and pasta...

This push button operated rice cooker is a decades old technology that is still around for a reason; it just works. Using the simple properties of water and thermodynamics this will cook rice perfectly every time. No overly complex digital displays just a button, electromagnet, and a thermometer. The steam bin is also useful although not employed as much. The bin that contacts the food is nonstick and dishwasher safe. No contest favorite appliance I've picked up for my kitchen

I was initially a little bit worried about the reviews that said that the rice cooker died within a couple weeks. But we had just moved, and I needed a cheap rice cooker ASAP. This was cheap, so we took the risk. We bought the rice cooker back in February, and now it's July and still working great. For reference, we eat rice 4 or 5 times a week, so it's been heavily used. It's not the most amazing rice cooker I've ever had. If I cook anything but plain white rice (e.g. if I add a can of tuna, or some sort of sauce, or cook brown rice), the bottom tends to burn slightly. But for us it's no big deal. It's easy to wash. I only use a wash cloth, and the nonstick finish is still good as new. Final thing. We bought the 7 cup uncooked rice (14 cups cooked). To cook rice and use the steaming basket at the same time, you should cook no more than 2 cups of uncooked rice in this model. Since we usually start with 3 cups uncooked, it meant I could never cook rice and steam food at the same time. If I had to do it again, I would just go for the largest model.

LOVE it. I'm a 58 year old bachelor who likes things quick and easy. This is my first rice cooker (14 cup). My sister-in-law is Japanese and has a fancy one with the fuzzy logic and bells and whistles, but it seems hers can make bad rice if you make one mistake in the settings. This is the complete opposite- dump the rice and water in and press "go". Perfect rice every single time. Easy to clean, no mess. Sure, no power switch so you have to plug and unplug it. Not a big deal for me. Just remember to tighten the Phillips-Head screw on the lid once in a while, as it seems to loosen over time. Wouldn't want to break the nice glass top. If you want fancy, buy another. But if you want convenience, easy-to-clean and perfect rice every single time, this is your pick.

I used it 1-2 times before it developed a weird electric fire type smell so the company sent a new one but on its second use the same smell happened. I contacted customer support again but it’s really inconvenient.

It cooks rice, quinoa, oatmeal BUT don’t let those items sit in the cooker or they will burn- I wish there was a buzzer to let you know when the cooker is done- I wish there was an on off switch. Once you plug it in it automatically comes on. It doesn’t shut off until you unplug it. I have to listen for the clunk sound so don’t get distracted or you might end up with burnt food- I immediately unplug it and remove the inner bowl from the heating element otherwise the food will continue to cook and it will burn on the bottom- Otherwise it cooks everything that I’ve made in it perfectly.

This rice cooker is shorter and wider than my previous Black and Decker Rice Cooker. Would have loved it to have a water line for brown rice like my old did and a place to put my rice scooper. Other than that, works great. Rice doesn't stick to the bottom at all and rice comes out perfect every time.

Bought this a gift for my son. He's very happy with it. It makes great rice. The quality of manufacture is good. It's fairly basic, but you don't need all the bells and whistles to cook rice to perfection.
