Review: Logi Knows How to Build Them - Logitech has been around for quite some time, and they have just kept getting better and better with their design, engineering, quality, functionality, and over all plug and play experience. They do sell keyboard and mouse combos, however I like the connectivity flexibility technology they have. In my case I purchased a mouse that fit my needs and uses. Then I was able to pick out this keyboard, and use either Bluetooth, or USB, I like the fact that even though my mouse and keyboard were purchased separately, I only use one USB receiver to connect both. Now this keyboard is one of the best Logi keyboards I have owned. It just feels like quality when using it, and it exudes quality when I look at it. Strong well engineering went into designing and making this keyboard. They keys are so quiet not only to the ear, but to the touch as well, just enough feed back on the fingers. The design and layout they put in to this keyboard is exceptionally comfortable to use, and I thought my old Wave keyboard was comfortable, this one is 100 times more comfortable. It is responsive, from the first touch of the keys to the last. Setup is a breeze, it took me about 2 minutes to get it all hooked up and running. Can't go wrong with this keyboard.

Keys clearly take light pressure to work, but still very quiet - unless you really like the clickity clack keyboards, this is very nice. There is a calculator button above the numeric keypad which is nice to have right on the keyboard. I don't know why they don't call this out in the features. The Function keys are easily changed from F# to the alternate function. It's worth the cost to have a nice keyboard!

**Q: Is the wrist rest removable?**
A: This keyboard includes a plastic piece that allows the keyboard to be tilted at a backwards angle, so that the wrist rest is higher than the front part of the keyboard. That part can be removed.

I am going to guess that the official answer that Logitech provided is either confusing that piece with the wrist rest, they are confused on what keyboard they are discussing, or the Ergo K860 has gone through a MAJOR revision if the wrist rest can be removed in this keyboard. 

I purchased 2 of these keyboards around a year ago (1 from amazon, 1 from a local store), and the version I purchased included a Logitech Unifying Receiver (the one with the orange and black asterix logo) and said nothing about the new Logitech Bolt dongle (the one with the lime green/yellow asterisk logo). It is pretty new, and some sources say that products are not cross compatible, but in the revision I own I am able to connect directly to my computer's bluetooth, and it seems that Bolt is a secure bluetooth receiver. If the electronics for the unifying receiver were no longer needed, it is possible that they re-designed the keyboard.

All I know for sure is that in this listing, some if the information says it comes with a Bolt dongle, and some of it says it comes with a Unifying dongle. At the very least, I suspect that means that it will be hit and miss on if you get a new or old revision.

**Q: Is this compatible with Logitech Unifying receiver?**
A: Despite the confident official answer, the correct answer is "sorry, no it's not." 

Logitech Bolt is a different wireless technology to Unifying, and the two are completely incompatible.

You can run them both together but you'll need to use both dongles.

Source: Logitech's own FAQ page, which states: "Though Logi Bolt products cannot be paired with other Logitech USB receivers, and vice versa, in many cases Logi Bolt products can be used simultaneously with other Logitech wireless products on the same host computer."

This is a very nice keyboard. wrist rest is soft but easy to clean. the keyboard is probably perfect for someone who can type and it's layout has improved my typing a lot, even though I am still hitting wrong keys and making a lot of errors, The feel is great and I am sure over time I will become more efficient at using it. I do wish it was illuminated/backlit, but I can live with that. I typed all of this with just one mistake by hitting an "r" instead of a "e",
