How wide is the actual strip?** A: The sketch is misleading. The buckle is 1.25 inches wide. The strap is 1 inch wide. The product is high quality. **Q: Will this work for bird cage for the doors wont open.** A: They should work. They are pretty long and you should be able to make it work. But I think it will be hard to work it between the inside of the cage and the out to make the velcro tack together.
