I had the whole kit at one time and gave it to my sister due to a tragedy that happened. I wanted to get back into making lefse again and I did. PS I ate the whole thing - 10lbs of potatoes.

This lefse rolling pin is exactly what I was looking for. If you're using you also need a rolling pin sleeve to keep the dough from sticking and it also makes for easier rolling. This square cut rolling pin is the best. I had another one I was using but the handles were sticking but this one is smooth sailing and the best by far.

I made my best lefse ever! Because we do this once a year, I don't get a lot of practice. Previously we had used a sleeve, but I was always curious if this would be the way to go. Very quickly I was able to adjust my pressure and roll out the lefse in the best looking attempts at round circles. Not only were they round, but probably the thinnest I've ever made, and it was all very easy. Toward the end of the batch, I would see just how thin I could get each one, and was amazed. Now I'm wondering what else I could use this on, from cookies to pizza dough! Tip -- when using, I kept a vegetable scrub brush close at hand to clean out the cracks quickly if I ever got some of the dough stuck between. This happened a few times, especially when I was going for "super thin". When finished, this also made cleanup easy!

pin arrived on time as described. There's other lefse pins out there that may work better, used moms this past week and it has taller knobs.

The more items I get for my wife to make lefse, the more lefse there is to eat. Lefse was hard to make and so relegated to just the holiday season: our lefse was thick and small. But, I got her a ricer, a bethany cloth rolling mat, the rolling thingy, the long stick thing, and a 16" lefse griddle, and now lefse is faster, easier, and better. The lefse recipe past down through the generations now shines brighter than we ever knew, for we are finally making it properly. We now have lefse available all the time, and I even take it in my lunch. Win-win
