It looks like a brand new cast iron pan so I will need to season it and it will still take some time to break in. I have a lot of cast iron and using it is the best way to season. It just takes time.The reason for four stars is the because of the pizza cutter. I was in need of a new one and that helped make the decision to buy. But, there's no shield on the blade. I haven't yet opened it but when I do, I'll have to store it somewhere other than the drawer as I won't want to risk cutting myself.
