Make sure the head phones volume control dial is set to OFF before attempting re-charge. Make sure head phones are placed facing the right direction in the charger. I had no problems once I got re-charging straight. Good luck **Q: do you get the pwer cord with the headset?** A: You get a power cord and a cord that connects to your TV if you purchase the charger base and headset. I do not know if you receive a power cord with just headset. **Q: Do you need to get two separate systems in order to use them with TVs in two separate rooms?** A: Yes you would. You need the receiver (the base) for each unit.
