Don't panic if it doesn't pick up a signal right away! I read the fine print carefully, and it says to allow 24 hours for it to find a signal... So I left it over night, and by the morning it had picked up the signal! Mind you, one thing to note: - it automatically came on with "Daylight Savings Time" mode on, and was an hour ahead. So, I had to get my tech-savvy daughter to help me change this mode. The instructions for changing the MODE are not very clear. If yours comes on with "Daylight Savings Time", (and is an hour wrong), do not change the time - just change the MODE - i.e. toggle OFF the "Daylight Savings Time". As soon as you toggle it off, the time will correct itself! So, once you get over the initial hurdles of setting it up, it's a great clock! Looks very nice on the wall, nice walnut frame, super large numbers make it easy to read from a distance, and I love seeing the temp and humidity. One other thing to note - it doesn't light up at night, so unless you have a light on in the room, you won't see it in the dark. (One teeny disappointing thing, but it's not a big deal). Over all, very satisfied with this unique clock!

I was looking for a large LCD clock to replace a smaller one that was starting to fall apart. The numbers on this Marathon clock are huge, great for viewing from across the room. Three notches on the back for a variety of hanging options. Upon first taking it out of the box the display looked broken, but once batteries were inserted and the clock was put upright the liquid crystal settled out and the blotches disappeared. One drawback is the numbers fade and are a bit more difficult to read when you view them from an angle (see photo). I appreciate the faux wood sticker finish for the frame. It is much nicer and welcomed option. So far I am very happy with this clock. I've waited a long time to get something with LARGE numbers. I'll update this review if anything changes.

If instructions followed, it's an amazing clock that keeps accurate time. Enjoy the size of the display.

I love the look of this clock, the ease of reading it, and the information it provides. I would be totally happy with this clock except that 3 months after purchasing it, it has stopped working. It keeps losing the time zone setting. Obviously, that means the time display is not accurate. It has a 2-year warranty, but they require the ORIGINAL PACKAGING in order to honor the warranty. Who has that after using the clock for 3 months??? Also, you must ship it back to them on your own dime. Therefore, their warranty appears to be useless. I do NOT recommend this clock.

Great clock with big digits. It’s easy to read from far away. My only wish is that there were someway to illuminate this l, when desires, so you could see the time in the dark. Otherwise it works great! I love that it automatically sets the time based on your location/time zone.

Received on 9/15/17 Had to test this clock for a while and sure enough set itself! But last night had a fan on all night, about 3ft. below clock! As I am quite familiar with reception issues with these Atomic clocks I new that it most likely would not set itself. Other clocks I have show the receive indicator for a few days before it turns off after no signal for that time period. As I had wanted, the signal indicator was off with DST and on when it received an update. That way you know that it was not updated! If I want to improve reception the fan will be off. I can not really see a need for any larger time digits than these...they are big! If you need a super large display you could use a computer with or tablet w/app and MHL/HDMI connected input. Do they make a 100 foot screen? All that sillyness, anyway, the humidity seems to show 3% high... or my other humidity gauges are 3% low! Not that I will need to use the alarm...it is loud! Can they not put a volume control in! I have modified many clocks to reduce the level! Some I never even use the alarm after but it is less noisy when setting up! Not a big issue w/this one! Temp reading is close to my other devices! Can't speak for battery life. I think MARATHON claims about 8 months. Oh! One last thing! This was used - very good condition item! Could not find anything wrong...it is indeed in very good condition! It was shipped in another box and packaged well! Would buy another for that price! Only $20.00 Now where is my 6 volt AC adapter...have to try a USB 5 volt...that might work too! GREAT CLOCK! THANKS MARATHON and AMAZON 6/24/18 just an update still working great...and it does update almost everyday even w/fan on. LOVE IT! 9/30/19 Update just checked and found that the the batteries were replace on 9/15/2018! Still do not use the alarm but looks like good battery life. If I modifiy and use an AC adapter I guess I would not have to replace batteries in maybe 5 or 10 years! That would be Super! LOVE THIS CLOCK MARATHON! Note: This review has been edit again to make more sense. Best of luck everyone!!! 3/06/2023 Happened to find this old review and had to add more. Good battery life so never DYI to AC power yet. The clock had been running a little fast if no update. So I modified and added a trimmer capacitor. Was able to get excellent accuracy over time and adjustment. Great because I moved and the location in the living room is terrible for receiving any updates on any device. DST this weekend so may have to set myself. Still working great!!! Just ordered a similar clock on Amazon but that has temp and humidity for both inside and outside. Hope that works just as good. Will review it soon!!! Thanks again AMAZON!

Inserted batteries and within a couple of hours the clock had set itself to the proper time zone and time. Easly to see anywhere in the room.

I give this a 3-star. Looks nice, big numbers. But the sucker is a pain to set. The instructions are terrible and the buttons are a crap shoot. Press and hold. Wait what does this do OH now press and hold to set, wait..............press and hold to set....... oh shit the wrong time zone, press and press and press to guess what Fn' button to figure out what it goes too. It's so frustrating. I almost sent it back, but I FINALLY got it to set with the correct time zone, time and date. It will now die on my wall. I bought a nice atomic clock in the 90's and it had nice buttons, wham bam set. They should really redesign this clock buttons.

Not for Australia Atom keeps appearing. Can’t turn it off Time lost

I bought this for a man with bad eye sight thinking it would help him see the time ect better. He can not really see the numbers as there is no lamination it is a solid grey with darker for the time ect... Also i see the pixels for the day of the week are weak. I am sad that this is not fitting our expectations

I've ordered the unit this morning. After the unit arrived, I've let it reach room temperature. Then I inserted the batteries - they are AA size, not AAA size like the description claims, and I was looking for instructions on how to adjust the time. While looking, the clock adjusted itself - it synced up with the satellite on my time zone. So I skipped reading the instructions and proceeded straight to hanging it on the wall in a conspicuous place. The whole process - ordering to wall - took 12 hours.

I love this so much i bought 2 more for my business. I have one in each room for my employees. Only issues i have is that they don't auto-update correctly in a steel building (messes up the signals) so i have to manually set them up for daylight savings. Other than that, awesome product, love it.

Useless feature called atomic time, and unless you're time is one of the preset time zones, this feature will reset the time you manually set up. Every morning at 2am it searches for some radio signal and then adjusts the time accordingly. Cancelling this feature based on their manual works till the next morning.... Been waiting for their technical support to call me back on this for more than 2 weeks... had to return send it back. Can't recommend obviously
