Extendable Stone Holder

Wanted to try hand sharpening, and already had a stone. Was originally just going to get a plastic or bamboo base, but read a lot of reviews recommending an over the sink one to have ease of access to water and cleanup, so tried this out. It has a lot of ton of adjustability, is long enough to bridge my sink, but sturdy enough that I don't feel a lot of flex when sharpening. Holds my stone securely, and didn't budge, even when sharpening a bigger blade like a chinese cleaver. I appreciate the locking bolts having a plastic knob rather than the metal wing nuts on other brands. Since it seems to just hold in place via tension/friction how it holds up long term is an open question, but as this would only get occasional use I'm hoping it'll hold up.

Makes sharpening multiple knives so much easier. Just set the sink to a slow drip and you have a constant flow of moisture for your wetstone and it won’t ever slide around and risk your hands getting cut

Seems like it is well-built, but the box came without the tightening screws so I can’t use it. 1 star for quality control. *EDIT: returned and ordered another. Came with the screws. Works great

Awesome! Well built, adjustable and works perfectly. What I really like about this item is that it provides the ability to hone right over the sink keeping the mess contained along with instant access to water. No need to buy or use other items like a pond, squirt bottles, towels, a piece of plastic, etc. like if done on a table. You will have to stand though, unless you have a tall chair to sit on.

This is a solid, sturdy sink bridge. I hone often and this is rock solid and grips the stones perfectly. It’s easy to adjust for shorter or longer stones as well.

I have plenty of other whetstone holders, but this is by far my favorite. It feels sturdy and gets the job done, plus the price is competitive with other holders. I recommend it.

If you want the convenience of having your whetstones soaking within easy reach, and also the ability to readily rinse off gritty whetstones, this over-the-sink whetstone holder is just the ticket. This sharpening stone base holder is sturdy and holds well to the top walls of a sink. You just have to remember to order the correct size for your sink.

I’m using this in my garage sink, the long bars adjust nicely and the rubber pads hold stones securely. The thumb screws are a little stiff and are a bit of a fiddle, but once adjusted work well.

Screws doesn't have inserts in them so they go directly into the rubber.. We'll see how it holds up in the long run bur in the meantime I've used a couple of times and it was solid.

Way better quality than expected. Works amazing and feels like it should be double in price. Highly recommended!!!!
