Just in time for rain.
Arrived just in time for some rain. I will have to get another one but my throttle arm on my motor props the rear up a little. If you have a boat that doesn’t have a podium or something to help prop the cover up 1 prop will not be enough. It’s plastic and the ends of the tubes fall out. It’s difficult to keep it all together but for 10 bucks I’m not complaining.

Flimsy and cheap.
Very poor quality. I've bought a similar item at Cabell for about $8 more and used it for years with no problem until it was lost. Saw these and figured they'd be the same and bonus, less money as I would expect from Amazon.com. first shipment one of the orders was missing half the items in the box, thankfully Amazon is great to fix. Once I was able to use them, immediately I noticed they were much more flimsy than what I'd had before, but never the less gave them a try. They will hold the cover, but once you get a little rain and wind it's over. They won't hold up unless you run straps through them. We had a decent monsoon storm, went out to check on the boat the next day and the poles were laying down and the cover was filled with a large pool of water. After that the poles wouldn't hardly stay straight under their own weight. My opinion.....save your money!

Boat Stan's
Can't take the support of snow. They broke and will not stand when the wind is blowing, they slide on cover.

Does the job and breaks down for storage
I bought 2 to support my cover on my 19 footer. While they don't "Adjust" you add 12" sections (they are the pole) I found 12" too short for my front support and 24" way to long. I used a pipe cutter to cut a 3" section and added it in for 15" It fits perfect. Because of the inserts that connect the sections the minimum length for a section is 2" but you can shorten another section and make it any length you want. I break them down and store each support in a zip-lock bag, but you could glue pole together with ABS glue if storage space isn't an issue. I found the base and domed top to be the right size to keep the support in place and not damage the cover. $15 easy to setup what more can you ask for. The top has 3 tie points which I didn't need but the idea is you can tie a strap (Not included) to another high point and make a tent of sorts. and reduce the number of support poles you need. I think if you did that you would need to tie off the back side of the support to keep from pulling it over.

Works for awhile
They worked ok for a season but after awhile started to fatigue and crack at the connection points. If your on a budget like I was at the time they'll get you by but definitely better out there if cost isn't an issue

Good idea, terribly executed
This was a waste of money. If you buy it, be prepared to spend as much in "accessorizing" it to make it work as you spent on the actual support pole assembly itself! First, the pole is variable height, not really adjustable. There are set heights you can set it to based on the number of pole segments you use. The range is very good, should work for almost all boats <24'. However, each section you use adds a great amount of bending to the pole. I don't use a couple of the sections on my 20' boat, but the pole is so bendy that it will flex a good 12" off center. This means that I have to setup the pole, put the cover on, crawl back in and straighten the pole, and then tighten the cover evenly as to not pull the pole off center, all while hoping the wind stays down. If this doesn't work out, you'll find that the pole will be laying on its side not supporting a thing quite quickly. If you really want this pole to work for you, you'll have to attach another stronger pole (like a broomstick or dowel) to this support pole so this one will stand up straight. Of course, the moment you do that, you lose the collapsibility and look of this pole. And you really wonder why you bought this to begin with. My advice: just don't!

Very cheaply made
Very cheaply made and needed to be supported by heavier things so it would stay in place in the boat. Had to buy second one. There was only one in kit and it was not enough to make the correct slope for the snow to fall off the boat cover during the midwest winters.

Boat is well protected
When I bought the boat the seller had a PVC frame to support the boat cover. This is so much better. I found the poles to lean and flex under any pressure, but, I placed the pole inside PVC pipe & secured at top and bottom with a sheet metal screw. I purchased 3/4 in nylon strapping and plastic buckles with slides Blue Elf 10 PCS 3/4"(19mm) Black Side Release Whistle Buckles for Paracord Bracelets Strap with Free Cable Organizer I used my sewing machine to make the loop ends, attach the buckles, and loop through the slots in the mushrooms. The cover that came with the boat had numerous stains from puddling. I purchased a new Classic Accessories cover which included one support pole.
