Very easy to put together, this 61 yr old lady assembled in 45 minutes. Easiest thing I ever assembled. Directions were excellent! It is so sturdy. I will be able to cut my material on this with padding of course, sew, paint, make me jewelry and do my jigsaw puzzles. It is sturdy enough for my sewing machine. My space is limited in a mobile home, but fits nicely into one of my closets in the bedroom, I just lift the top up and out of sight. Then wheels nicely right out to my living room on carpet, no less! The drawers are plastic, which is fine. I put the 2 pencil holders together on one side, so it holds twelve pencils perfectly or thin markers. I put the 2 open trays on the other side to hold thicker markers or paint brushes. I am so glad I purchased this product! I don't understand the negative reviews on this table. The price was perfect. I think some people expect to much. Merry Christmas to me!

We received this desk a few weeks ago (thank goodness for delivery to an upstairs apartment - the box is heavy!) and assembled it almost immediately (see below). Since that time the desk has been in use almost daily and is holding up well. Nothing has come loose, the surface is solid and doesn't move to much (on carpet) and the pen holders and drawers are functioning well. Even with the desk mostly being used by a 10 year old. Assembly wasn't "too bad" for an item like this. Other than a couple of places where you had to be careful to get bars the right way up, and trying to work out from the diagram which way the locking hinge goes, the desk was put together in about 40 minutes. Tightening up the bolts with the provided tools might be a bit tricky for some - but using tools I already had it was a snap. The trickiest part for us was really the plastic drawer assembly which, while snapping together solidly perhaps took a bit too much effort to snap together and was a little tricky to screw into the caddy provided. There are plenty of storage compartments, plus the lip at the bottom is a nice feature to stop pens rolling off. At a 30 degree angle, paper stays in place well. Therefore, even with a few niggles in assembly, for the price this is a great art desk.

I really don't know why the harsh words on this table. I really don't. It was VERY easy to put together. It took me an hour. The screws were numbered and matched the numbers on the instructions perfectly. (and I'm a lady ;) )The table top is VERY heavy. It is NOT for kids only. I can fit my usual 24 X 20 canvas on there and if I wanted to could probably fit a 40 inch wide one on there. I erase constantly and when I do the table doesn't move. I agree the stool would not be comfortable to sit on for hours but It's very sturdy. I love the wheels on the table. Very easy to move around. The only thing I'm going to change is since I'm a lefty I'm going to drill holes on the left side of the table for the pen cups. But I'm used to us lefties being, um, left out. :D Otherwise great table. Decent price for how sturdy it is. I'm going to enjoy using it!

This is a great value. Heavy duty, steel construction, quality hardware, large print, very clear instructions (overall) It was shipped in a double box, intact. You will need a Philips screwdriver for assembly and a 7mm socket, wrench or adjustable wrench makes it easier for page 7 . . . .Everything was going smoothly until Page 8 , when it became time to snap together the blow moulded plastic frames for the drawers. I had to spend WAY too much effort snapping them together. Everything looked fine visually, I assumed the frames would simply pop together. Even pressing them into my workbench with my body didn't work. In the end, I had to use a LOT of force with my hand, hitting hard on them, on the bench, to get the moulded clips to lock all around the perimeter of each one . You can see in the fourth photo where a part of plastic broke. I worked in store customer assemblies for twenty years, am 71 years old, this ''ain't my first rodeo'' . . . this issue spoiled the assembly for me. I would give the product a 5 Star except for the assembly of the drawer plastic frames.

Works good for drafting too. Not only for crafts. Great for college students to study on. Plenty of room for books and study materials.

Despite other reviewers experiences, the desk very easy to put together. The instructions were clear, and the pre-drilled holes were aligned. I am not sure if I got lucky, or if the instructions/design has been changed since older reviews were posted. The top is laminated mdf, and the base is steel box tube. The desk seems quite stable, and is easy to operate. The pencil holders are plastic and may not take too much abuse, but seem sturdy enough. The storage boxes are also plastic but are serviceable. It is not an heirloom piece of furniture, but it seems well constructed and good value for the price.

I bought this quite some time ago. I don't really use the tilt feature (because then I'd have to clear the desk off). However it is extremely easy to tilt the desk to different positions and back to flat again. It also was simple to put together. I did have an issue with damage from shipping. I called the company directly and they resolved it immediately. If you intend to use the tilt feature then the holders on the side wouldn't work so well if tilted too much at an angle. They are optional to add to the desk although the ends are a little sharp without them. Overall a very nice desk especially for the price.

Table comes flat pack, it had travelled overseas to the UK. Unfortunately it was damaged (no fault of the supplier packed well, they responded quickly)but repairable and we are being refunded some of the costs. The table is just the right height for art work, tilting to the angle you require. Handy pots (would have liked them a bit deeper) to put brush's & pens in for both left handed & right handed people.

Bought it for my artist wife. Good material and happy with the purchase as it serves the purpose as indicated.

Tiene un tamaño ideal, es fácil de armar (hay que ser muy paciente) aunque el plástico de las gavetas que tiene no es muy sencillo de embonar. Todo lo demás, con todos sus compartimentos son súper prácticos y útiles para los artistas.

This is a top notch drafting table. I have hardwood floors my only concern was table movement while drawing but not an issue at all - the wooden slab which is the surface is heavy enough that the table doesn't move around without pushing it. I also got it for the fact that I could move it around my place with ease. The tilt design is well engineered as well, very easy to pivot the table rear up and down to your comfort. I didn't assemble the drawer so I could have the extra leg room, but assembly was easy and straight forward. It only took an hour to assemble by myself. I'm 6'1 and find there's plenty of surface and leg room to work with - not a kid table in the slightest. Also, the lighter color scheme add to the asthetic and brighen up my place. Highly recommend.
