This is very delicious all you need to do is open the can and put in a can of tomato sauce and heat I now can make this sauce with pasta and celebrate St Joseph’s Day

Great taste
Great flavor and price, but the cans look like they have been thru some though days. Love the sauce and quality. . Reminds me Xmas dinner in my Italian home.

Pasta Con Sarde (we nicknamed it "spaghetti and grass"
This was a favorite in my large Italian family, but I must admit - there were lovers and there were haters. Those of us who love it will never give it up, and to this day it is still my all-time favorite dish in the whole world. The recipe involves sautéing an onion in a little olive oil, adding a tin of flat anchovies and melting it in. Then after adding the contents of the Pasta Con Sarde, add a large can of tomato puree, a small can of tomato sauce and two cups of water....and also a pinch of sugar, a few red pepper flakes, a little black pepper and oregano. Bring it to a hard boil, let it boil for five minutes, stirring to keep from sticking to the bottom, then simmer for an hour. Serve with Linguini.

It wouldn't be Christmas Eve without it
My husband's family is from Sicily and Pasta Con Sarde is a tradition. I researched various recipies, but frankly, this premade product does the trick. I "doctor" it up with fresh fennel, add pinenuts and currants, and use a good fresh marina as a base. Nothing else is needed and the prep time is cut by 90% - a huge time savings when trying to prepare "7 Fishes" for Christmas Eve dinner. (Frankly, I could loose the 7 fishes and would be happy with just the sauce.)

Couldn't find it where I live but got it on Amazon. People who are fussy eaters may not care for this Italian specialty, We love it, make it with pasta about twice a year. Delicious.

Excellent Taste and Price!!!
I have not had this for a very long time and I truly missed it. Loved it then and I love it now. I browned some garlic in olive oil and then added the Cuoco Condimento and made 2 lbs of Pasta and toasted some Breadcrumb. When Pasta was cooked I put a Scoop of Pasta Water to the Cuoco drained the Pasta and Put the Cuocco over the Pasta and added the Toasted Breadcrumb on Top. Delicious

st joseph day dish
this is a suace that i add to my homemade italian tomato sause add pour on linguine pasta. this a tradtional dish we cook on st joseph day march 19th today 3/19/2023 the sauce does not contain any sardines very disappointed 3/17/2024 i went to open the cans to add to the sauce and the clips on the cans fell off and could not open the cans
