No, once the smallrig cage is attached, you lose access to the hostshoe. As of now I have no issues but, if any arise then I will update the review, fingers crossed ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great cage for the Panasonic G7 *by T***S on May 11, 2020* I bought the cage for my G7 because I wanted to be able to mount a monitor and on-camera mic at the same time. Thankfully, this cage comes with two built in hot shoe mounts on the top left and right sides of the cage. With these features already built in, I can add a monitor on the top, a mic on one of the side hot shoe mounts, and an on-camera light on the other hot show mount. SmallRig is one of my favorite manufacturers of camera gear.
