My wife is a closet pyromaniac, and this torch proved to be a perfect Christmas gift. She felt empowered setting the wood in the fireplace ablaze. She thrilled at the long flame that this throws out, and she brandished the torch as though it was a light saber. The torch looks nice, feels good in your hands, and does a good job of setting things on fire.

Worked at first until it needed refill. Could never get it refilled even after watching YouTube filling procedures. Now just a paperweight. Finally got the lighter to refill. Had to push down hard to finally get a refill. As long as one can get a refill, the lighter works well.

This is My favorite lighter...I keep it on the front seat of my car....JUST IN CASE

Update: I was contacted quickly by the seller and they made it right by sending me a new lighter, which worked great. The replacement lighter filled easily with no leaks and performs as expected. Every company has a few bad items that make it to the customer, but not every company makes it right. KOLTEC made it right, and they are a standup company. This is a superb torch, and you can do a lot worse when choosing a full-size lighter. Use the adjustment carefully, as it is easy to overdo it. This lighter has some serious power. This lighter works great, when I can manage to partially refill it. The adapters that came with it form a sloppy fit, resulting in more butane venting out than going into the reservoir.

UPDATE: Below was my original review of the product after receipt. Upon posting this review, KOLTEK customer service reached out to me and gave me a full refund immediately. I appreciate this level of customer service and would not hesitate to do business with them again. I upgraded my rating to a 3 star: 5 star for customer service, minus 2 for the initial product. This thing was great at first, and just what I needed for my outdoor work. I filled it the first time and everything was as advertised. However, when that first tank was done, I went to refill the torch and nothing. It would not hold gas. It was getting a little, as it would light for about 5 seconds, and then die. That tells me that something is leaking, likely the refill port. Don't waste your money on this torch...was a waste of money on this and then the can of butane that I drained trying to fill it the 2nd time.

Good sturdy lighter and decent adjustable jet flame. But filling the gas is not so good. The connectors don't fit a universal gas can and using the standard gas can connector without any additional ones (none fit this lighter) gas pours out.... so refill outside and waste a lot of gas in the process of refilling. Pity there is no way of knowing if the lighter is full of gas or not...

The product came 2-weeks earlier than anticipated. The flame is strong and visible at about 7inches. Be careful as it can still burn at 1ft away of the jet direction. The handle is made of plastic, which makes it lighter. It does feel slightly unbalanced with the weight heavier towards where the flame comes out (due to the heat material). Overall, a good quality product.
