Hooked

Great 👍🏻. I enjoyed the story thoroughly and am looking forward to read other books written by the author. It's different than other dark romances. A must read.

**Could Say a Spoiler Alert** The story and book as a whole is truly good and characters too develop at a steady pace. However, I would have loved to read the more elaborative side of Hook's backstory about his trauma and the he endured. I would have also loved to read a chapter from Jon's point of view since he was the one who made the story move to the direction of climax. One of the main villains of the story was also toned down. I would have loved to read war of 2 villans and the drama that came with it. Overall it was a GOOD READ!

This book had me hooked. I went in blind after seeing so many recommended this, I had too. And I am so happy 5hat I read the book. A dark twisted villain and a naive heroine. Their chemistry was explosive. A must read.

Hooked by Emily McIntire is a is part of Never After series which is a dark retelling of Disney stories. This story is dark retelling of peter pan. James had always destroyed his enemies but the one enemy he has not taken care of is Peter Michaels until he moves to his neighborhood. With that comes Wendy Michaels Daughter of Peter Michael unaware of Everything Peter does for a living. James takes that opportunity to befriend and charm Wendy. The charming part comes easy for James. Wendy is instantly mesmerized. Story is dramatic, suspenseful, fun and dangerous. The Story is about revenge, but the lion fell in love with the lamb. The spice is hot. The secrets that James is keeping from Wendy can cost him his relationship.

This book was great for the first time read. However, i wouldn't pick it up again with the same enthusiasm ever. There were a few moments where i felt that the scenes were rushed. The plot seemed good to me but i felt that the ending could have been a bit more..detailed...? Overall i really liked the book and might consider buying again from the author. Good work author. 👏

I just loved the whole story plot. And the passion in both the main characters. I was literally hoping for a read wondering if someone would actually kill a close one for love. And OMG, I'm swooned by the way this book has turned out. Emily, you did a great job girl!! 💥

Okay, so I liked this book. The idea of the villain getting his hea, that's what I want darling. It was the retelling of peter-pan with Emily's own twists. 3.75⭐ bcs even tho I loved James, I didn't like Wendy's character that much. She forgave James too easily after the way he treated her. And also I'd love to see more chemistry and connection between the two protagonists. This book felt a little rushed at the ending but apart from this, I do enjoy it! Onto the next book now.
