So we have had the iPhone 13 Pro Max since they first came out 2 years ago. My husband has had this same case since then and we are JUST NOW replacing it. Mainly because he has an outdoor job and it was just beyond cleaning it. It has protected it from a ridiculous amount of drops The size is slightly bulky, but that’s typical of the type of a case with the level of protection it provides. It was easy to install on the phone. (It is two layers that you pull apart — plastic and rubber) My husband loves the grip on it and he is even considering using this clip this time! 10/10 cannot recommend this enough.

I have an iPhone and I never allow it to go without an Otter Box. I have dropped this thing on every imaginable hard surface and my phone has never broken. Otter Box is expensive, but it is well worth it. I absolutely can recommend this product.

I’ve been using OtterBox Defender cases for as long as I can remember, probably back to the iPhone 4 or 5 days. They’ve always been my go-to for keeping my phone safe. I replaced my old one with this case (it was an open-box buy) and ran into a couple of fit issues. It fit the phone, but it felt like it was made for a slightly different version. I had to use a Dremel to trim a little plastic off both sides of the bottom housing. On the left, the volume-up button was blocked by the support for the mute switch, so I ended up removing that lower support completely so the rubber button could move right. On the right, the lock button was partly blocked by maybe 1/16 inch of plastic. Once I cleaned that up, everything worked like it should. The case still feels solid and tough, just like every other OtterBox I’ve had. I still depend on that durability and the ability to clip it on my hip every day. Not a perfect out-of-the-box experience, but considering it was open-box and I got it working, I’m good with it. It does what OtterBox always does -keeps my phone safe.
