i've used the pump version of this - any reason i should use the tube instead?

I found the pump can sometimes be unreliable and product does all come out. With the tube you can squeeze out every last bit. Mostly personal preference. Great product though. Only thing that works for me.

What is the expire date on this package?

DO NOT TRUST THIS MERCHANT!!!! THEY SEND EXPIRED PRODUCTS and DO NOT OFFER REFUNDS OR EXCHANGES!!! I received something TODAY that expired 6 months ago & despite their “ok to return” policy, it now says returns not accepted!!!! This is FALSE ADVERTISING!!!!

Got1st ever cold sore. Will this help me, or since it's several days into having one on lip, is it useless?

Abreva is used when you first start to get a cold sore. I have used it when one is already under way and it till helps to get rid of it. Just use a small amount at a time on the tip of your finger, then wash hands as the liquid from a cold sore can be spread by touch. When cold sore is gone use chap stick to remoistureize you lips.
