MagTool ZKSJ Slim Pro Aquarium Wave Pump, App Programmed DC Wave Maker with 10-Lev Speed and 3 Wave Patterns and 6 Wave Modes

I purchased this on August 2022 and on november 2022 the Bluetooth stopped connecting to the WaveMaker i rested it and did everything i can but no luck other than that it is not bad good power for size

Not very well caged. Ate two of my saltwater fish. Just sucked them in and spit them out. Actually I unfortunately bought 2. Other tank 3 more fish were sucked in and spit out. 2 lettuce slugs. #2 tank crashed from the fish guts and my tank is in crisis. Update both of these wave makers just died. Unbelievable. I just wasted so much money. I had a death in my family and didn’t get them returned in time. They are dangerous to your livestock and then both of them die. I really want to get a refund.

The Wavemaker was delivered promptly. Neatly packaged inside the box were the wavemaker, mounting magnet, control unit, power adapter and assorted accessories to adjust the flow pattern. Also included were the installation instructions in Chinese and English. Installation is intuitive with minimal dependence on the documentation. The unit was up and running within minutes of unpacking. The critical step is installing the control app on your phone. Both iPhone IOS and Android versions are available. The instructions were clear but the English would benefit from better translation. I installed my pump in a freshwater, 4 foot, 90 gallon tank. This particular tank receives virtually no bottom current. I was hoping to agitate the debris and direct the waste to the filter intake. My hope was to diminish the need for frequent vacuuming during water changes. The pump worked great and moved waste material into the water column where the filter could capture it. As claimed by the manufacturer, it is very quiet. Depending on application, a 4 foot tank would seem to be the largest application for this motor, especially if it is mounted at either end. A center mount would seem to be more appropriate to maximize its potential. The pump is great, but as impressive is the Bluetooth control application. The interface is intuitive and loaded with features. It should easily satisfy any salt water/reefer requirements in terms of scheduling and wave patterns. In my particular application it was good to be able to pulse the flow on a scheduled basis as opposed to have it running constantly. Thumbs up!

This was great at the beginning simple to setup and use however even with minimal use the motor keeps jamming I would need to take it out and take apart which in its self felt dangerous and wind the motor round and round then try sometimes it would work and most times it would just trip out and not work anyway as you can imagine not a viable option fast words not even been 6 months I gave up and scrapped it!!! Money down the drain now I have to buy another one but definitely won’t be this brand!!

The wave maker arrived well packaged inside its box with the wavemaker, mounting magnet, control unit, power adapter and assorted accessories to adjust the flow pattern along with installation instructions. Installation is easy but I would recommend reading the instructions to understand at which position the unit should be fixed under the water surface. The unit itself with the included accessories are well made and do not look or feel cheap. It is solid plastic with a smooth finish. The operation is straightforward. I had it running in no time. The control unit may be more than enough for some freshwater setups with 3 different modes and varying intensity levels that can be controlled by the press of a button. The app is simple and straightforward too. It adds more wave patterns and features that are more suited to a saltwater setup. I used the app as well, but for my freshwater setup the control unit is sufficient. The wavemaker is installed in a 90 cm freshwater aquarium. I have less filtration at the substrate level so this wavemaker helps stir up the substrate, so the filters can pick up any detritus or fish waste. This helps keep the water clean, so my water changes are effective. The wavemaker is very very quiet and quite powerful for its size. I had it running on the lowest setting and it worked great. One consideration however, if you have nano fish or tiny shrimp, you may want to be cautious because the grill holes can easily suck in the fish or shrimp. I used the wavemaker at the surface at times too to agitate the surface and provide better gas exchange since I inject CO2 in my tank. Overall, it’s a great product and I recommend it.
