Rite in The Rain Weatherproof EMS Notebook, 3" x 5", Yellow Cover, Vital Stats Pages (No. 112)

I am so blown away by how perfect this pad is that I needed to write a review. I am a full-time FF/Paramedic and this notepad hits all the stops when it comes to an EMS assessment. I know I’ve got the iPad to run through, but there’s something about pen and paper. I got this on a whim and now I’ll never go back. I read a review saying that a blank pocket pad from Walmart would do the trick but for the convenience this pad provides with all the information per page, I’ll stick to buying these. It is the PERFECT size for the pocket. If you’re an EMT or Medic student, I couldn’t recommend these enough. It would’ve been the perfect pad in the clinical environment to jot down some information on my patient and get back to work. You’ll be able to catch me with one of these in my pocket for the rest of my career. As for the weatherproofing, I couldn’t care less. No one is stopping in the rain to write assessments — keep it honest. (Added the photo so you could see the size and just how perfectly it would fit in your pocket.)

During my time as a EMT doing IFTs it has helped, if your company used computers but find it easier writing things down. It great, I use to use their other products while in the military and I love them. Rain, water, washing machine, or blood it able to write just fine. Just make sure you don't use GEL pens it smers super horrible but it already recommended not to use GEL pens with rite in the rain products. I recommended using there pens for double the effectiveness.

Was rain proof. Held together well. Functioned as should. Asked the write questions I needed to know. Had extra room for extra documentation. Easy to use. Didn’t get torn apart in a day. In fact lasted all the way through using it. Would have bought another one but I left the field to become a full fledged alcoholic.

These are really handy for keeping a basic log of the patients' vitals and other info, in lieu of standard larger run sheets. It's nice to just carry this in the pocket instead of having to use a clip-board to use the larger letter-sized runsheets!

Truly the quality of this product is excellent and this note pad would be a perfect gift or item for a new EMT or a student to have to get used to the information needed for a PCR. The waterproof rain feature is a bit unnecessary and is more of a marketing gimmick, it does work but who honestly purposely does a patient assessment standing in the rain? Not me… if it’s raining we are loading that patient up and getting them in the back of the ambulance and out of the rain asap. For people just starting out learning PCRs then sure it can be handy but after you complete your first booklet of this, you will have a better understanding of what info you need for PCRs and will be just fine with a pocket pad from Walmart or DG.

If I can give it a 10 star. I would. You know... reading the product saying it's water resistant... especially paper. Yeah so. One night coming home, I forgot to take it out of my pocket and threw my jeans to the wash. And as I was taking my clothes out, I find my note pad. 100% intact 100% not a single rip 100% paper still here 100% definitely water resistant So if you forgot your notepad in your jeans. This is the one. Saves you an extra $3 from Walmart from buying another one.

This notepad is perfect for my EMT clinical rotations. It has room for all the information that I am responsible for recording. I can take vitals, run details, and other notes while on scene and then I can transfer them to my official run sheets once we have transferred care. It has stood the test to rain and dropping in puddles. I recommend this to anyone in EMS.

Notebook itself is good quality and it's rite in the rain. Issue is the format being different. One line now for pmh/meds/allergies. Don't need the vs trending and it got rid of more open notes section in lieu of that. Honestly disappointed in the format. If you have a medically complicated patient this will not be user friendly. Any patient over 50 years old will have way more pmh/allergies/meds than this can handle.

(Non-EMT review) I was able to use it the first night I received it. Recording the patients information on the pages were easy and had plenty of space. I did like the extra space on the back of the page to write more information. Have not wrote in the rain using this booklet yet, but I have had other Rite in the Rain products before and I can only imagine that this booklet will be the same. I like having the GCS scale handy. Excellent Product.
