The concrete contractor placed the concrete with a slight slope toward the back of the shed. That caused water to pond at the back wall. I looked for a slot type drain and found these. The price was right and the design was just what I had been looking for.The compact trench drain was very easy to install and they look great. The drains are well constructed, easy to connect and sturdy enough to walk or drive over. The instructions were easy to follow and I'm glad I did. I planned to cut a 8 inch wide by 10 foot long slot in my concrete floor, which would leave about an inch on each side of the drain. The instructions recommend that you cut a 10 inch wide opening. Don't short yourself on the width because you will need it to place the new concrete around the drain. I compacted the base, put the drain in the opening, suspending it about an inch above the base material. I mixed my own concrete, using bagged concrete mix, to place around the drain. I compacted the new concrete to insure good contact under and around the drain. I don't want it to settle or become loose due to poor base or poor contact along the perimeter. The bottom part of the drain is plastic, which will not adhere well to the new concrete. The drain does have some built-in anchors, but you need to make sure the concrete is well compacted to get good contact with the anchors. I am very pleased with the installation and appearance of the drain. Sorry, but when I took the picture, the concrete had not been finished or cured. ### ⭐ Not good for pool areas *by A***R on Reviewed in the United States on March 18, 2018* These drains look very nice and work perfectly, but the stainless steel doesn’t hold up around pool areas. During the first year we had the pool every single grate was completely covered in rust just after a few months. It was pretty disappointing since we just put our pool in and everybody would ask how they could rust in a couple of months. Now the grates have rusted to a point where they are becoming a safety hazard and will need to be replaced. If i keep them in place, a number of kids will be cutting their feet and I will end up being legally responsible. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ the price and delivery were fine *by A***R on Reviewed in the United States on August 8, 2018* The only thing I encountered was a problem when one of the clips that hold the sections together broke.They are not that durable, and if you connect them and try to then move the assembled sections together make sure you have help.One of the clips broke for me and no way to fix it. especially when you are in the midst on handling concrete.It would be nice if an extra were included since it is a vital part, and no way to order an extra one later.Overall this worked fine.I also wish the galvanized top was more easily removable, once it is installed.
