Well built, but not compatible with Pearl ePRO kit.
It is a very well built pedal, but it didnt work as a replacement on my Pearl ePro kit. The open/close feature wouldnt register on the Red Box properly.

Works perfectly with the Hitman HM22
Works perfectly with the Hitman HM22. Other pedals simply would not function so this Yamaha pedal was my last hope. Luckily it's compatible and functions as it should with my drum set.

Fits Yamaha DD65
I did a lot of research to see if this pedal will be compatible with an old drum pad and it was. When I was setting up my gear and plugging in all the cables, I noticed that I have my foot on the big at pedal while I turn on the pad; when you hit the hi hats while your foot is off, it will sound closed. And when you press your foot down on the pedal ,it will sound open . So just make sure that you keep your foot off the pedal before you turn it on so you don’t come across this issue .

Took me time to write this review because I needed to test the hihat pedal. here are my thoughts: 1. delivery is fast. item is packed securely and nicely with some free candies (my daughter loved it) Pros: * As for the Hi-Hat pedal, its nice and solid * Great for mimicking hihat pedal playing Cons: * Response rate is very delayed. * Only available is Open and Close HiHat. no mid-open. Overall, its great for home use or friendly jams. Not recommended if you will use professionally.

Gift for Great-granddaughter
My daughter is a drummer and her granddaughter (my great-grand) wants to be a drummer too so when my daughter purchased a used kit for her, the only think missing was the high-hat pedal. I bought it for her so the gift will be from both her grandma and great-grandma. I was very happy to see that it could be shipped to Hawaii (I live in Wisconsin) and it got there right on time. Good purchase, good price, good timing, good service.

Only works with Yamaha
Proprietary Yamaha junk. I’ve been a die-hard Yamaha fan for years but this pedal just didn’t cut it. Unfortunately it doesn’t work with Roland kits and even if I did, it lacked a realistic feel. It seemed sturdy and well built but I had to return it due to its incompatibility with anything that is not Yamaha. Very disappointed!
