Seems pretty good for the price
For what it cost, I'm pretty happy with the quality of this dial indicator. Sure it's no Mitutoyo, but it's also 1/8 the price of even their low end models with the stand. I'm not doing anything high precision enough to justify that kind of money. Mostly just things like woodworking tool alignment. The stand seems to work ok. Some have said it is hard to get it to clamp properly, but I haven't had that problem yet and nothing has broken while trying to tighten it down. The magnet holds well, and the base is smooth enough to slide across a cast iron table and maintain it's alignment. The point set is handy. I needed a flatter one for setting jointer knives and the set included one that was perfect. I'll probably never use most of them, but at least I know they are there. It was difficult to get the factory tip off though as it was screwed on quite tight. I was afraid I would break something trying to crack it loose. But eventually I prevailed. The one thing I wish it had come with is some sort of case. There are several at this price point that have a case, but I decided having the tips and the higher accuracy (.0005 vs .0010 for most others in this price range) was worth more than the plastic case. I'll probably end up making a case from wood at some point, so not really that big a deal. All in all I'm happy with my purchase.

Good setup
I use this for helping to level the bed on my 3D printers, works as intended, accurate, easy to use, read the dial easy, good price

Not bad for the $$$
Decent quality. Dial is a bit stiff to zero. Accuracy seems good. The stand works as it should. Make sure you really tighten everything before taking readings .

Pretty impressive for the price
I'm not sure how accurate the readings are, but the magnetic base works well and the gauge itself works as intended. It's not a tool I will use very often so I didn't want to spend a lot on it. I am satisfied with this tool and expect it to last me for a very long time.

Great for the price
I'm not sure why there are so many negative reviews here. The one I got is fine-- surprisingly good for the price. The magnet in the base could be a little stronger, but it's adequate. I haven't had any problem with adjusting or locking the stand. The gauge is fine. You can get nicer ones if you spend more, but this one works well.

The dial seems okay but the stand is pretty shoddy.
The dial seems alright but the stand doesn't seem like it will work. Its flimsy and doesn't really hold it well. The dial indicator itself should be okay. Note that I have not at all checked its accuracy these are just initial impressions. If you get it for a good price and mostly need the dial than its okay. Don't get it if you really need a quality dial indicator. Get this for a hobby or project.

Nice inexpensive, highly sensitive/accurate dial indicator
Nice inexpensive , highly sensitive/accurate dial indicator, Really like the fine adjustment knob, works a treat on zeroing the dial!! The adjustment locks on the magnetic stand could be smoother and would benefit with a bit finer of adjustment per turn. But that's being really picky and did not affect the value for my money here.

For the price, you can't beat it
I needed to measure how true my brake rotors were and did not feel like I needed to spend $200 on a nicer instrument. This one worked quite well, and comes with a variety of probes. Its not the smoothest dial, but I was measuring brakes, looking for 4-6 thousandths of runout, not worried about accuracy as much.
