As the title says, not enough to keep the seatpost at the torque setting.Ended up buying other park branded one that did the trick.

Keep a tube of this in the tool box for when I'm working on carbon frames - haven't had any issues with the quality or performance, it does the job perfectly. Also seems better value than some of the more expensive alternatives out there. Highly recommend.

Carbon on carbon this does the job, never use grease. You can feel the grip as you insert the carbon seat post into a carbon frame.

Brilliant product. My seat post was slipping and I tried a different brand that failed miserably. This stuff is completely the business.

I usually rate Peaty's products highly and have a bike, toolbox and even wardrobe full of the stuff but unfortunately this paste just wasn't up to the task of holding my seat post in place.Upon opening, it felt very impressive; Very gritty to the touch and my initial thoughts were the particles felt bigger and more pronounced than other brands that I have used.It initially felt like it had tonnes of grip and as I crunched the seat post down into the seat tube I wondered how it could ever slip on that grit. In use, however, it was almost like the large particles had just disintegrated once tightened and left behind only a slick, oily paste.Throughout the next week I made at least 6 or 7 attempts at fully cleaning off and re-applying only for it to slip drastically within minutes of riding. At this point I had to give up on it.I bought a tube of a well known brand's gripper paste which I have used before and it held like it had been super glued on the first try with minimal torque so I am afraid that I cannot recommend this stuff for high energy applications like seat posts that have to hold firm against a very large amount of shifting weight in normal use.I don't usually bother to use gripper paste on carbon bars but I did use a little this time and I can at least report that there has been no slippage there.

Ich habe die Montagepaste für einen Carbon-Sattelstütze verwendet und bin sehr zufrieden. Sie sorgt sofort für deutlich mehr Grip, sodass die Stütze sicher hält und nicht mehr verrutscht – selbst bei geringeren Drehmomenten.Gerade bei Carbon-Komponenten ist das ein großer Vorteil, da man die Klemmkraft reduzieren kann und das Material schont. Die Paste lässt sich gut dosieren und gleichmäßig auftragen, ohne zu schmieren oder zu tropfen.Was mich zusätzlich positiv überrascht hat: der Geruch erinnert tatsächlich ein wenig an Zahnpasta – ungewöhnlich, aber irgendwie angenehm im Vergleich zu klassischen Montagepasten.Insgesamt ein hochwertiges Produkt, das genau das tut, was es soll. Klare Empfehlung für alle, die mit Carbon-Komponenten arbeiten.

Easy to use as directed. Enabled me to secure my loose carbon seat post, first time and with slightly lower torque than recommended.
