Doesn't seem right...** A: The Measure Master Digital Scale w/ Bowl 5000G has a built in 'auto off' function that will shut the unit off when not in use for a consecutive 2 minute period. Be sure the unit isn't inadvertently being powered on when not actually being used, thus draining the battery.
