I have been a fan since "Runaway" at the young age of 4. I was drawn to the band, their sound and their charismatic lead singer. I was lucky enough to see this amazing group perform live last Friday to a sold out arena in Atlanta Ga. There I witnessed that same charismatic and energetic singer perform 21 songs (a mix of the old hits and new stuff) Each song in its entirety and without break. After taking maybe 5 minutes to change his shirt he came back for encore (4 more songs). Along the way he told the stories behind these great new songs - and in his loving, humble way took time to thank the fans who continue to love and support the band. Now, I have read some of these reviews and I am honestly asking myself.... What do these people expect? Do you think this man who is nearly 55 can possibly still sound like he's 25? If you do - please do us all a favor and skip this album and stay stuck in the past. He still sounds better than 99.9% of today's "talent". Richie Sambora left the group on his own (this is not Jon's fault). The show must go on and Phil X is IMPRESSIVE! No, he is not Richie - but he can hold his own place in the band. Someone said something about the album being a bunch of religious nonsense. WHATEVER!!! Who judges someone for having faith and writing about it?(We all need something to believe in) "Keep the faith"???Clearly some did not take time to give this album a real chance because they can't move on from the past. That again, is not the fault of this incredible band. If you're looking for a blast from the past... Please by all means listen to 80's and 90's Bon Jovi. This awe inspiring band has grown up and had families - surely writing about "In and out of love" would make little sense these days. God bless this mess** I would be remiss to leave out "We don't run" updated on the deluxe album. It's a killer song! Bon Jovi performed this live in Atlanta and it was FABULOUS! These magnificent dudes still have the magic!This song alone makes the deluxe version a MUST HAVE!**I could go on and on about this album and how great it is. But, I have an open mind to appreciate change, age and don't have unrealistic expectations. I'm hopeful Jon and the band still have plenty more to say and the Bon Jovi quality is definitely still there... "Welcome to the future it's a new day." ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I really like his letters and the metaphor he has *by J***O on November 19, 2016* I'm a bon jovi fan since 89, when I first heard the new jersey. His career has been impressive, I really like his letters and the metaphor he has. I identify myself a lot with his compositions. But at this moment I was in the expectation of this new work. What most pleased without having even listened to was to know that he would talk about him personally and the integrity of the band, that is a great step in his new route. And I have to tell you ... wow, it's like a Christian when you decide to be humble and tell us a lot about your life, Not because John was not humble, but because to speak of his own experiences, both good and less good is a healing and Christian exercise for the soul. Has been a great step. The music and the record is excellent. The thing that attracts me to John is the ease and quality with which he walks through different types of music. I consider that he is a complete artist, who has no fears in trying other rhythms ... and believe me they are spectacular. For the rock fans sometimes that is shocking, but if you follow the track you will realize that walking with John for different types of genre is fascinating, and with his lyrics is wonderful. Phil X surprised me, he`s a big guitar. Super pleased with this new production..... 5 stars. This Heart, This Soul ... This House is not for sale! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Best BJ album of 2010’s *by B***S on December 6, 2020* This is probably the best Bon Jovi album of the 2010’s. Not every song was perfect, but “Rollercoaster” is super catchy, and all-around a very fun song. The song that I feel is the best on the album is “Labor of Love”. Bon Jovi should pursue writing songs like that. It was easy on Jon’s voice, and was not over-produced like so many of their other new songs.
