In hot weather, I have to go back to the first plan -- every three days. That type of use has not harmed the snails, fish, turtle, or frogs in the pond, but it does zap the algae quite well. The fish need an extra oxygen source while this kills algae, for first 24 hrs after adding to water I make a point of keep filter on AND running fountain for O2 source. The fish all move to directly under the return line within an hour after treatment. Safe to koi, goldfish, pond turtles, the lizards and a crow.. have all survived a dip in treated water.
