I watched someone's video using soap and water. that's messy. so i decided to use vaseline or something like it. Wow it went on without effort absolutely simple and easy. I held onto the black spongy with a wash cloth and gave it a push and it went right on. Review: I’ve used a walker for 10+ years. Because my right arm is basically useless, I need to rest the elbow on the handle. The sponge covers last a long time, but my regular supplier couldn’t get them anymore. desertcart came through admirably. The covers are longer than my old ones as well as made of sturdier material. Easy to install by using dish soap as lubricant, then sliding the sheath onto the pictured arm rest/handle. I will definitely buy these again. Should last at least 3-4 years or more as they’re quite sturdy. Drops the cost when that’s figured into the equation. Buy these! Some of the canes I looked at are 0.9 inch diameter. The Ka-bar was 1 inch. It is a bit of a snug fit to get it on the other canes. It's easier to do with a bit of WD-40 or light oil on the cane (metal canes, and very slight amount needed.) Not sure if it will go on your cane. **Q: Can you use WD40 to put it in the cane?** A: I used 2 of them on J shape cane handles.. To get it on handles, use dish soap on handle and put a small amount in foam handle (holding linger on one end and shake and it will coat inside of handle replacement. That will make it slide on easily (small amount of soap is enough) onto the cane handle. When it is place, squeeze out any excess. Let it dry for a couple of hours. Am 83 and it was easy. Good luck. **Q: Can this product be used for the handles of a rolling Dolomite walker?** A: Yes **Q: Grip moves after installing?** A: The grip was easy to install. In my particular case, the grip has never moved after installation.
