Rescue Me

I am a voracious reader and have read over a thousand books in the last few years. I have to say that I am impressed and enjoyed this story very much because it has all the elements that makes it a must read, suspense, mystery and love. I have to say that after reading hundreds of authors, I was beginning to wonder if I would again read a story that wasn’t a cookie-cutter version of hundreds I have read before. I am glad that I took the opportunity to read this author’s story. This story grabs the reader from the beginning and doesn’t let go until the end. A beautiful cop and a beautiful EMT are the main characters and the reader can’t help but root for Kristen/Ashleigh. I look forward to reading more from this author.

Pretty good. Good character development even with a same old, same old plot.

This is the second book I've read from this Author. WOW. It is absolutely amazing. The story line is Kristen a Canadian Mountie is undercover as a P.D. officer. To find out who's behind the murders of 3 rookie cops. Is it the Police she's infiltrate or is it the EMTs the first at the scenes. As the story moves forward she meets Paramedic Ashleigh and they both have an instant attraction to one another. Kristen Is something of a Playgirl & Ashleigh is a one woman girl. Complete opposites, yet still drawn to one another. As the two become closer. Kristen unknowingly puts Ashleigh in Danger as well. Will it be currupt cops or killer EMTs that come after them.... I absolutely love the story line. Not only a love story but a race to catch killers before they catch them... Wonderful ending and one heart pounding story. Enjoy I certainly did. .

The story was very well written with characters who were understandable, real-life and relatable. I can take them and compare them to people I know in the sense that in the relationships there are "ah-ha" moments. The mystery is fast paced and equal to any drama I watch on serial television or movies. Thank you for spending your time and efforts and I would continue to read more stories such as this.

Kept me engaged and interested.

First time reader of this Author, and can not begin to express how much i thoroughly enjoyed her style. I finished the book in two days . From the beginning to the end it grabs your attention both with characters and attention to detail of law enforcement. And with RCMP!!! I would highly recommend this book to anyone, but especially those with interests in law enforcement and EMT services. Suspenseful to the very end.....excellent job and fantastic read!!

Good easy read. I figured out the plot early on.

“The problem wasn’t that she didn’t want Kristen to want her. It was how badly she wanted her to want her. If Bailey were to return her affection, she wouldn’t be able to say no to her.” “The last thing she remembered before slipping into sleep was that she was about to do something she never had with a woman before. Fall asleep beside her.” + • + • + • + A Mountie is undercover, posing as a local police officer investigating a rookie cops murder, & a brand new paramedic, beginning her new life as a baby lesbian & an EMT at the same station the cop killers are suspected from, both whom try fighting the connection that they can't seem to ignore even though they want to.

Mit 'The Space Between' ist Michelle Teichman ein sehr guter Coming Out Roman gelungen. Nun versucht sich die Autorin mit 'Rescue Me' in einem komplett anderen Genre. Dieser Versuch ist absolut gelungen. Zwar ist die Thematik einer Kriminalgeschichte um eine knallharte Polizistin nichts Neues, jedoch ist die Geschichte gut erzählt, die beiden Hauptcharaktere Kristen und Ashleigh sind sehr sympathisch, und die Sexszenen explizit. Die Autorin findet die richtige Balance zwischen Liebesgeschichte und Kriminalroman. Auch den kanadischen Background des Romans, der in Toronto spielt, fand ich interessant. Endlich einmal nicht Texas, Colorado oder Kalifornien. Lediglich das Ende der Geschichte ist für meinen Geschmack etwas zu kitschig ausgefallen. Ansonsten kann man sich schon auf das nächste Buch der Autorin freuen. Vielleicht versucht sie sich noch in einem anderen Genre.

Well scripted plot lines with likeable characters as undercover RCMP officer, Kristen, meets paramedic, Ashleigh. Struggling to overcome the demons of her own tragic past, Kristen is also trying to break into the closed world of the Toronto police department to uncover the killers of two Rookies killed in drug deals. Ashleigh is drawn into the investigation that seems to point at on-scene paramedics as being the likely culprits. Plenty of twists and turns in this well-thought out thriller with an ending that puts the lives of our intrepid heroines on the line. Will the romance survive Kirsten's history of philandering and tragedy and whose heart will be stopped as the bullets fly? Is there room for love between a hardened police officer and an innocent caught in the crossfire? Abandon the Hoover, walk the dog and buy popcorn before opening. You are not going to want to put this book down once you start.

I really enjoyed this book just like I have her other. I felt as though I was kept guessing all the way through.

As a Toronto police officer myself I found the book to be very accurate as far as police language , protocol and even behaviour. The author does a great job of describing our lovely city and everyone's favourite crews and tangos bar. Well worth the read!
