AEM 30-3003 Water/Methanol Injection Filter

Not sure what other reviewers were expecting, it's a great product! I don't have a filtered bulkhead, nor a filter anywhere in my methanol system. I run ~33 gpm of methanol as my extra fueling in a turbo application. I got a piece of debris stuck in my injector nozzle and it tried to take my motor out running it lean for a brief second. This is a coarse 40 micron filter that would have caught that debris, but it's not such a fine filter that it will impede flow for a high flow application. I've read it's good to flow up to 43 gpm of methanol. It fits snugly in the housing. My filter did not have the AEM logo anywhere on it, nor any logo. Just solid black, which is fine, nobody sponsored me, I don't care to sponsor anyone.

Installed on an existing system on a Diesel so fittings were worthless for me, a nice option would have been no fittings or different choices

So glad I installed this just before my injectors! Before using this I had no idea so much sediment was traveling through the pump and into the engine. Everything about this is simple; installation, checking, and cleaning. The cap simply screws off so you can take it to a sink for rinsing. Most of the sediment gets captured in the part that stays inline but a squirt from a water hose, carb cleaner, WD-40, or even just running the water injection will quickly wash out the sediment. And it attaches with push-lock connectors so if you want to pull the entire assembly, it is quick and easy. This has been installed on a daily driver with a modified 12 valve Cummins for about a year through ambient temperatures ranging by about 100 degrees F. There have never been any leaks. For a while I noticed my water injection was still coming on under boost but hardly using any water. Sure enough, this filter was clogged with mud. After quickly cleaning the filter the water methanol was working again as it should. This is a must have. I ordered in 2018 and received this filter just as it is advertised.

The picture is not the same as the filter I received. Mine was slightly cracked on the outlet port as though someone had tried to tighten the fitting too much. Mine also was not an AEM branded piece. Most likely made by the same manufacturer but again the pic is not what you will receive. I had to return mine because of the crack and I also did not want the fittings that it used. I wanted the ones just like in the pic.

Seems cheaply made. Works so far. No leaks. No AEM stamp as in the photos.
