MSRP is $69.99, W*lmart is selling theirs for $59. The reason the price is so exorbitant is that deplorable people are taking advantage of the situation with microchip and staffing/production shortages and buying them all up to resell at 300% profit. If you want one, buy one only when it says “Sold by: Amazon.com” and “Ships from: Amazon.com”.

Haha right now there are 3 left in stock, I ordered mine around the same time as you. Mine says it’s coming December 28th. Which is a joke, because if there is three in stock why the heck are they not going through the back orders to ensure they get shipped. Just a way to get more money. When I bought mine, it was 60 bucks plus tax and now they are hiking the cost to over 100 bucks. I really think they are hoping you cancel your order so people will pay more money.

The cauldron can be used with just water and lights a virtually unlimited amount of times, but it won't produce the mist forever.

The cauldron is pre-loaded with enough mist for five uses and comes with a refill for five more. The mist is a neat effect, but the toy can still be used once the mist is gone (or you can buy more).

The first time they use the toy, there are some items that the child will drop in the water; these items dissolve in the water and cannot be recovered. The items are a neat addition, but the toy is usable without them. The refill pack includes two additional sets of these items. You could explain to your child that the cauldron only needs those items once and that the magic stays, or you could let your child in on the secrets of the toy economy.

To sum up: the starter set (blue or pink) can be used once with all "ingredients", ten times with mist/smoke, and a virtually unlimited amount of times with just the lights and sound.
