Best option for a Taurus
Amazing product. Mounted perfectly on a 2007 Taurus G2C 24/7 9mm. I have not shot it yet. But dot is bright. I tested the shake awake function and it works perfectly. Overall best bang for your buck!!! I did a ton of research for an older Taurus with wide rear sight. Hope this helps so you don’t have to spend days looking for options. FYI ADE has great customer service. They email you back in a timely manner

Broke
I bought this back in September of 2024. I shot about 200 rounds using it, and the glass shattered. Customer support and Amazon both told me the warranty should be covered by the other company. I went back to the stock sights shortly thereafter. Would not recommend.

Dovetail was loose on a G2C
At first, I was very happy with the Red Dot and mounting plate. Mounting was easy. The G2C had a very small screw to hold the dovetailed mounting plate in place, but it all installed smoothly. I used a bore site to get set up for a good start and went out for some live fire sighting. my G2C is a 40cal S&W so 10 shots for a magazine. When I got to my second mag, I started to get frustrated, not being able to get the Red Dot sighted in. At this point, I noticed the mounting plate was moving and stopped. Starting over, and being concerned about the small size of the plate mounting screw, I determined that I really needed the dovetail mount to be tight. I took some thin (.003 inch) aluminum to use in the interface of the dovetail to tighten up the mount. I was able to get two of the thin strips (about .003" x .065" x .75") in between the provided dovetailed mounting plate and the dovetail on the gun. Looking at the hole for the mounting screw with one shim in front and one shim in back, it seemed like it would be a better fit with both shims towards the front end of the gun. I used blue thread lock on the front dovetail interface (with my two layers of shims) and back dovetail interface, as well as the small screw holing the mounting plate in place. I let it dry for 3 days and went back out to see how it all worked. I ran 20 rounds through the gun, and the mounted sight is still tight. I really wished that I had thought to use the bore site to get the Red Dot roughed in before I took it out to shoot because I was so far off, I did not get it sighted in. I came back and bore sighted the gun again and am ready to give it a try for the third time. I really like how the Red Dot turns itself on when I pick up the gun, but I'm not sure how that would affect the battery life if this was my main carry weapon.

May work, cheap enough to give it a try.
I bought the kit to mount this on a Taurus G2 Millennium (PT111) with the "old" style rear sight. The mount plate that was sent with the optic had a small dent in the front edge that is meant to hold the plate in place in the slide. In theory this would be great, however, the metal is soft enough that during installation, this peen dent basically flattens. I pressed forward - I used blue loctite on the super tiny screw that came out of the rear optic to install the mount plate/adapter. The description said a screw was included, but none of the included hardware fit my slide. Mounting the optic was noneventful. I placed the rubber "shock shim" which was included with the sight, and torqued the two fasteners down to 25 inch pounds. Used a laser boresight to get the dot close to center, and headed to the range. Because this slide was not designed to have an optic mounted on it, I found I had to drastically lower the dot, so that POA and POI were matched. I got fairly close. After a dozen or so rounds, I had to reset zero (not good). Four more shots and reset zero.. well this sucks, right? It wasn't the dot drifting, it was the mounting plate loosening. Like, SLOPPY loose. Ok, back home I go, pull it all apart, used a punch to re-peen the mount plate. tried ALL of the hardware again to see if MAYBE i missed the screw that should hold the mount adapter, nope. Applied red loctite and tighten to 25in/lbs.... The plate doesnt work. The recoil was too much for it. I lasted longer with the red loctite, but the recoil began to cycle the power on the optic. Not so I had to turn it back on, but it would shut off, then turn back on - that's odd. This was a fun experiment, but nothing I can run safely. At the end of the day, guns are for safety and if you cant see your target, they're worthless. Caveat - i replaced the slide with a G3 TORO slide (yep, it fits), ditched the mount plate provided with the optic and used the RMR adapter for the slide, and the optic works like a champ. These are fun for plinkers, but sadly, if you choose to run a Taurus CCW, you're gonna need to buy an optic that costs as much as your gun to be safe and reliable.

Ade Red Dot
After a few shots it loosened up. Also trying to sight it in with laser further than 10 yards is almost impossible. Good product but not for the price.
