Digital Alarm Clock with Date, Month and Temperature Displayed, Negative LCD Display, Quick Set, Crescendo Beep Alarm in Black, model BC10B (1 Pack)

This is quite an expensive alarm clock compared to most, but it's a nice stylish looking clock which I ordered in white.You can set the time to read as either a 12hr or 24hr clock. Lightly tapping anywhere on the top of the clock turns on the backlight, which lights up the display really nicely with a blueish tinge of colour and stays on for 10 secs.The display whilst visible during the day isn't visible at night, so you'll have to tap the backlight button on top of the clock to see the time. Alternatively you can slide a small switch on the back to leave the backlight permanently on. This illuminates the display just slightly, no way near as much as the main backlight but makes it just bright enough to see the display at night whilst not being too bright to distract you when trying to sleep, however this will use extra battery power (2 x AA batteries not included).The alarm initially starts off fairly quiet with 4 x sets of chirps, then increases slightly in volume for another 4 sets of chirps, increases again but this time with 8 x sets of chirps, then gets slightly louder for another 8 x sets before reaching its maximum volume where it carries on sounding until you tap the top of the clock which will either cancel the alarm, or activate snooze feature if set.Setting the snooze alarm on/off is done by sliding a long horizontal button on the rear which slides up/down. You can easily feel this button when reaching round the back of the clock with your fingers, no need to look for it. If the snooze feature is set then it will repeat every 5 minutes, which I like as most clocks only repeat at 10 min intervals which is too long to wait for me.The clock is easy to set up, and use. However my only criticism is that the buttons on the back of the clock are quite small and are flush with the surrounding surface. It would be better if they were a bit larger, or stood proud to make feeling for them easier without looking. Also the writing next to each button is very small, but it won't take long to familiarise myself with what each button does.Until I get used to this clock I can't yet adjust it by simply feeling for the buttons on the back, I have to flip the clock around to see where to put my fingers, then flip it back whilst making the adjustments.However I don't see ay need to make any changes other than the alarm time/on/off.Overall it's a lovely clock with good instructions and it has the main features I was looking for - backlight, 5 minute repeating snooze alarm, and permanently displaying the alarm time on the display.

This clock is just as described and works exactly as expected. The display is clear and visible during daylight but unless the nighttime display is selected on it is not visible at night until you touch the top of the clock. Touching the clock illuminates the display for about 10 seconds and is perfect for nighttime viewing. I read that having the nighttime display selected on uses battery life fairly quickly and so haven’t tried it yet. The alarm has an increasing tone and is excellent for my requirements. Overall I’m very pleased with my purchase.

Used it for 18 months, chews through batteries, the functionality isnt great when it comes to changing alarms and the sound isnt loud enough but itll do. Its decent but too expensive for the issues ive had with it

The good: It's a very well made clock. The alarm switch is satisfying. The backlight is very even and pleasant. The night time backlight is optional. It is very dim as it should be, maybe just slightly on the bright side but compared to most illuminated clocks it's actually not disturbing. It casts enough light to be able to see about 50cm around it but it's a very soft light. This night-time backlight turns off during the day - it has an ambient light sensor to decide so it responds to room lights too.The +/- controls for setting the clock and the alarm make small adjustments very convenient and easy.The terrible: it's basically invisible in room daylight. Just a dark grey screen. Looks great in direct sunlight, and if you touch the top to get the full brightness backlight, but very hard to read in normal diffuse room light. It's a big let down honestly but I can't bring myself to rate it less than 4 despite this, primarily because other bedside clocks I've tried are so much worse in other ways.

Just what I was looking for small neat and with temperature too great bedroom clock.

It was good in the brief period it worked perfectly but it seems to be wired very shoddily. It started malfunctioning very quickly but I put up with it because it still technically worked. At first the display would just flicker constantly. In the end I had to leave it on the brighter setting that I didn't want to use just so that the flicker would be less noticible. More recently the alarm is stuck in the on state so if I wake up early and want to prevent the alarm from going off I either have to take the batteries out (which means I need to configure the clock again) or take the clock with me so I can shut it off when it does go off. It's not the quality I had previously associated with Braun (and that I was willing to pay extra for) and I likely wont buy a product from them again.

I absolutely love this alarm clockIt’s incredibly easy to set - both the time/date and the alarmI love the fact that you can see what time the alarm is set for on the face without having to press any extra buttonsThe illuminated display (either always on dimly at night or brightly illuminated with a button press) is clear to seeAnd I also love that the display illuminates when the alarm goes off. I have blackout blinds and curtains so always struggling with knocking my old alarm clock over when trying to get to it to turn it off so this is a great featureIt’s a little pricey, but absolutely worth it in my view for the features it gives

Great looking, great value, just what i wanted!

Au bout d’un an, les boutons de réglage ne répondent pas correctement, il est difficile de régler beaucoup le temps. Lorsque vous bougez, le réveil se réinitialise parfois tout seul, les piles se déplacent dans le compartiment et tout doit être ajusté. Une déception pour cette marque bien connue et pour le prix.
