I had a RAID1 setup for 1TB HDs and had to remove one to check a file. After this one file on one HD was modified, I reinstalled the HD. Ran the RAID controller web software, which noted a mismatch on the two HDs. I clicked "Verify." Many hours later, I had two HDs that the software said were fixed and identical, but now NEITHER ONE COULD MOUNT on the mac. The software messed up both, though it may have made them identical. I contacted "support" once a day via their website. (They refuse to offer phone support or even a chat support). Their response was, essentially, 1) try to fix it yourself and 2) we have no idea what our software product (the web management software) does during the verify process because the people who designed it are not around any more!! I am disgusted and I am through with Highpoint products. The true value of a company is judged when something goes wrong with their products. It does real hardware raid 5 for cheap and works with pcs and macs. Only time I've had issues is when I have moved the drives and card to a new computer or attempted OCE. When my PC didn't boot Windows I checked posts on this card from a number of sites, all had the same issue.
