Tambour Door hardware kits create handsome appliance storage bins in your kitchen. Tambour door slides effortlessly in its track. Kit includes hardwood tambour with a fabric backing, spring tension adjustment for full control of tambour door movement, a wooden hand pull and a face frame mounting track system. Use on cabinets with maximum openings of 14-9/16" W x 17-1/2" H. Overall length of track is 17-3/8" . Tambour is 15" wide and can be trimmed to fit narrower openings. Technical Details: Designed for Face Frame mountng in straight or corner cabinets. Quick installation - just staple track to cabinet face frame. Use on cabinets with max. opening of 14-9/16"W x 17-1/2"H Tambour piece measures 15"W x 19"L x 3/16" Thick X 3/4" wide Tambour pieces are solid Red Oak or Maple with canvas backing. Spring tension adjustment for full control of tambour door movement. Track has a length of 17-3/8" Recommended height is 18" if the standard length plastic guides are used, for shorter openings both the tambour and the guides may be shortened to suit the opening.

Great product!
I've gotton two of these now. The quality has been consistant. Exceptionally nice. I love that they are non-toxic and unfinished, so I can finish them w/safe products. The wood is good quality. I installed them myself. The directions were clear and mostly easy to follow once you're actually doing it. I installed them in the paneling covering some wasted space in my RV, creating 2 new storage areas.

Very beautiful, well-made
It’s a good thing we saved the frame parts to our old system, because this one has to be installed by taking the actual cabinet apart. But, the actual door part worked fine, so it’s OK.

Not intended for existing work, nice wood, cheap plastics, probably shouldn't paint
If you have the face frames off of your cabinets or can remove them easily, this system will likely be fine for awhile. I probably should have done more research, and not painted it so I could return it, before committing. The plastics are cheap, but the wood is nice. If you paint it you will have to give yourself several extra days to not only make it look nice but you will need to flex the fabric backing 180 degrees every day to crack the paint. Even then it might leave unpainted areas. Staining is preferable but I imagine a poly would have the same effect on the fabric backing.

Perfect door in hard to reach small spaces
Love the look, we did need to replace the top dowel with a longer one to make it work for our project.

Looks really good. It was a pain to put in but worth it and they are very pricey.
