I had read some reviews that had me concerned. Some people were commenting that the bed needed better supports in the middle. I don't know if I have an updated model or what, but I think that this frame has plenty of support. It comes with 12 2-inch slats that go left-to-right on the frame. These are then supported by two longer slats that go top-to-bottom. Each long slat has 3 holes to screw in the included support blocks.I put my foam mattress directly on top of the slats, I wasn't sure if I needed a bunky board, but currently I don't think I need one.The frame looks amazing and stylish.
