Beautiful Blade
As expected, this knife came razor sharp. Only drawback is the keeper strap on the sheath. With a quick draw, that strap will be gone in no time, before you know it. I have big ‘ol sausage finger hands and added tennis racket grip tape to the handle to make it mine. Overall, Excellent Blade. I also appreciate that some of the money spent goes to a worthy cause.

Excellent fit
Wow! Excellent knife! I immediately voided the warranty by removing the scales, removing the wax on them with acetone and dying them black with leather dye, making it a version of the blackout edition. I love the blade and the handle, no mods needed. Perfect weight and shape. I’ll update later when I finish the new sheath to replace the stock one.

Great knife tiny handle
Love the knife. Only critique I would have is the itty bitty handle. It's a thick well built knife but has a handle built for the Oompa Loompa. As far as the other reviews about rust. It's made out of 1095! It's going to rust if you don't oil it. Geez if you don't know how to take care of a knife please stay at the campground.

Poor fit and finish
The fit and finish is not good. The blade edge has a blemmish on it and the finish looks more like its just paint. Not what i ecpected from all the research i did bfore i spent $160 on this knife.

RUST RUST RUST
4 days of this knife sitting in the garage and it has rusted. It had never even been used. This was a gift for a friend that had wanted this knife for a long time, and I couldn’t be more disappointed. Yes, we live in Florida where it is humid, but if the knife can’t take four days of humidity, what’s it going to be like in a survival situation, or simple camping trip even. Aside from that, it has a nice weight and good balance, and did cut rope nicely once used after it had already rusted and pitted. Simply can’t give it more than one star because the steel is garbage. Not what I’d expect from a $165 knife. Sorry the pictures focused more on the tailgate than the knife.

I love the look of this knife and it looks like ...
I love the look of this knife and it looks like it is build quite stout. The down side is that the blade came with multiple spots of rust on it when I received it. I would expect a knife that costs $145.00 to not have multiple rust spots from the factory. If it ended up like that from being well used, I wouldn't have a problem. Being that way when new and unused sucks! What kind of Quality Control allows that? You can see in my pic that there is rust at the top of the blade, and on the side.

It's perfect for outdoor activity, especially for chopping. Not too intimidating on your belt but packs a power of blade weight. Scanned a lot of options and glad I made this choice...love it!
