It’s a testament to a manufacturer that not only considers the quality of the product but also the safety of its use. The entire kit came in a big white box with the company’s logo and “VISTA 3 SIXTY” next to it. Opening the box reveals the LIPO charging bag, the warranty card, and another card with instructions on how to use the LIPO bag. Removing the charging bag shows a hard shell case that housed the remaining components of the kit.The V3S tactical flashlight is durably built with aircraft grade aluminum alloy. The grip is good and it comfortably fits in the palm of your hand. The pre-installed lanyard ensures that you don’t drop the flashlight even if you accidentally let go of it. It is waterproof so it can withstand water splashes and rain but it’s not intended to be used when diving.Light output is very good, thanks to Cree’s XML T6 LED chip. Rated at 1000 lumens, it’s brighter than other flashlights that claim to produce more than 1000 lumens. It is also the first kit in my collection that includes both AC and DC chargers together with a battery cradle. This is a well thought out kit that is versatile in many ways.The V3S tactical flashlight has zoom functionality. To zoom in, push the head out. To zoom out, pull the head back in. Zooming is smooth but requires more force compared to other flashlights in my collection. Of all the flashlights I own, this one is the stiffest to zoom in and out.The V3S tactical flashlight is equipped with 5 different light modes, bright, medium, low, strobe and SOS. Cycling between different modes is accomplished by pressing the tail cap button halfway after turning the flashlight on. Of all the different modes, bright is my preference hence, I really like default bright mode when the light is powered on.Of the many components that comprise this kit, I was surprised by the exclusion of a user guide. Users who are new to tactical flashlights may not be familiar with zooming and switching between different light modes hence, a manual would be a welcome addition. The hard shell case could also be larger so that the contents would not be so cramped inside.My wish list in future versions of this kit include:1. User Guide2. Smoother zooming requiring less force3. Larger hard shell case4. Separate foam cutouts for each component so that contents are safe during transport5. Inclusion of AAA batteries so that the flashlight is immediately usable out of the boxOverall, Visual 3 Sixty’s Professional Series Tactical LED flashlight kit is one of the most complete I have purchased. It also puts a huge emphasis on safety which is a very important consideration. The flashlight is able to produce the most light compared to other lights that are advertised at or near 1000 lumens. It’s a highly recommended purchase for outdoor activities such as camping, hunting, hiking, biking, fishing and other activities. It is also ideal for normal daily use or for emergencies. If you shine it in your eyes you will see spots for about 10 minutes.
