## Description

Ideal Door and Window Weather Seal. Fills height gaps from .125" to .188". ESI Ribbed Rectangle EPDM Foam Rubber Seal – .187” Height x .500” Width x 25’ Length with .375" Width 3M 4011 Acrylic Foam Tape (.045" Height), Total Height of seal plus Tape is .230". To prepare your seal for application, cut to length with scissors or knife. Prior to installation, ensure bonding surface is properly cleaned with a 50/50 mix of denatured alcohol and water solution. Optimum performance is between 25% to 45% compression, with 25% being ideal – less than 25% compression makes the seal less effective, and over 40% places the seal at risk for compression set and failure. All products are made from a custom formulated EPDM sponge rubber compound that guarantees protection from weather and noise for years to come. Exact replacement for my trailer ramp door.

This ribbed rectangular 1/2” seal bends easily in both directions. I used this to replace a damaged septic tank lid seal. Sticks easily, stays on. Squishy enough to conform to the riser cut edge. I stuck some to a 2x6 to show how well it bends. See the pic. The lid will be opened again in 3 years. Every 3 years my system gets a mandatory inspection. The lid is a nonstandard size so no off the shelf seal was available.
