Review: Amazing sound, aesthetically pleasing! - I did a fair bit of research before choosing the AZATOM AUDIO DAB radio/cd player. Something for the kitchen so that I can play my cds when I'm ironing or cooking. Not a fan of in-the-slot cd players - they are prone to get cds stuck! This fitted the bill nicely. Someone commented on the "flimsy" cd tray; it is if you're planning to TRAMPOLINE on it! The most important thing for me is the SOUND. I took a gamble on a make I'd never heard before but, THE SOUND IS INCREDIBLE. Not just for cds but for also for DAB radio. I ordered the sound system at 8am Saturday morning, it arrived 4pm the same day! These are my favourite features: 1. Superb, superb sound, 2. In/out CD TRAY, 3. All-in- one system, 4. Beautiful, ergonomic design - just a wipe over needed. Less likely to attract dust, 5. When you turn off the plug, then put it back on the cd/ radio goes back to the LAST station/track played, 6. Volume 10 is loud enough for enjoyable listening, 7. British Company, 8. DAB radio has masses of stations - just turn it on and the player searches for them. 9. Crisp, clear DAB radio, 10. An amazing, amazing price! Sellers no longer have the luxury of buyers coming into the shop, listening, then saying "I'll take it!" That is WHY this system is ridiculously cheap. The market place is totally different from yesteryear. But, please don't be put off by that. The AZATOM AUDIO system delivers in every way. I heartily recommend it. Edit: since this first review I have enjoyed listening to Bluetooth. You have to turn the volume high but the quality, if not as good as a cd, is still very good. A: Its mains operated but UK plug supplied. Great machine.

**Q: My iPhone is not charging. I thought that this was one of the functions**
A: Carol, I’ve tried my iPhone on the set and it’s charging . It may be you need to set the mode button on top of model. If still a problem contact azatom directly . The people there are very helpful and will put you on the right track. I myself don’t normally charge my I phone this way .good luck. William

**Q: Is the cd player gapless? if so, great, but if it isn't its annoying when playing a live album and there are gaps in between each song, pointless!**
A: I would have thought that would have been more of a CD issue rather than the player, I know when I’ve used mine I have a distinct gap between each track, usually a couple of seconds, but I’ve always thought it was due to how the CD was produced with the manufacturer, by that I mean the tracks downward fade then gap of a second or two then starts next track. The best placed people to answer this would be the manufacturer and the supplier of the cd itself. You’ve got me thinking about it now though and may have to borrow one of my brothers live concert cds.

**Q: Can you have time show when not in use and also when in use? I want to use this as a radio alarm clock**
A: It only shows the time when connected to the power supply & turned ON, I had a CD system 20 years ago that did show the time when not in use so in that respect the Azatom is a step backwards.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Looks and sounds good for the price

I've had this for five months now. We mostly use it for listening to DAB radio in the kitchen, but also the odd CD, and podcasts streamed via Bluetooth. I found it straight forward to set up, easy to use, and am happy with the sound and balance. The overall functionality is good and it's very good for the price. It also looks more expensive than it is. The only downside is that as we live in the countryside we get power cuts when the grid reroutes our electricity to local urban areas while they fix power lines, etc, and when the power comes back on it automatically wakes up and starts playing DAB radio. That said: it's prompted me to check the fridge and freezer and make sure to get rid of anything potentially spoiled, so perhaps and accidental useful failsafe!
