    Nice for the price.

It's a nice spindle for the price.  I intend to use them for a class I'm teaching, as a basic beginning spindle for my students.  It's attractive for the price.  I wish the hook wasn't glued in, because it would be nice to be able to turn it slightly to be faced away from the notch on the whorl, but that's not a huge problem.  Do I like my hand-crafted, perfectly balanced, $70 spindles more?  Sure.  But for someone just trying out this craft who may not be ready to commit, it's a good choice.

The Spindle arrived on 23 Dec leaving plenty of time to be wrapped for Christmas and placed under the tree. The Spindle arrived and I didn't see it out of the box until this morning.  The packaging was very pretty and the spindle itself is a true work of art - just beautiful as well as functional.  I really appreciate the quality of the spindle and the effort taken by the Kaituna folks to get it to me quickly and in such good shape.  If you are looking for a very attractive, unusual and functional drop spindle I would recommend this one.

The glue that holds it to the wand seems to disappeared. Still works but the top part slides off the wand .
